Suggestion: Add 2v2 and 4v4 game modes

I think it would be a really game evolving change to league of legends to introduce minor leagues revolving around 2v2, 3v3(idk about twisted treeline though its a pretty bad map compared to rift and abyss), and 4v4(on the rift) leagues. The way I imagine, it could be built like a latter system where you skillwise can progress through 2v2 and up getting use to fighting in different numbers, while also having the ranked aspect of it. Though, the maps would need to be made balanced and excellent like the Rift we all know and love.

The ideal maps for having success in ranked playerbase is consistency in map design. Vilemaw is great, but a lot of players dont even know his name, hes just obscure to the league norm. Picture 2 maps, set for 4 players and 6 players, both matching the theme of league

IE: The same

  • Jungle creeps
  • Epic monsters
  • Map angle
  • Tower stats
  • Items
  • Win conditions

These maps would be easy to transition to and from the Rift for new players.

Something like one lane at a 45 degree angle with 2 mirrored towers, 1 inhib, and nexus with jungle on both sides and creeps for a 2v2 map; off the top of my head I could see a meta where you clear as fast as possible while your other ally slow clears his waves to build up a big bunch of minions, then gank and tower rush.

There would also be a need to incentivize players to always be aiming to go back to 5v5, some ideas I have are putting ranked rewards at diamond or some other rank higher than gold, offering unique but inferior ranked rewards for gamemodes not 5v5 like cheaper skins, ward skins, icons, or even a special loot item if Riot wants.

I would love to get a discussion about this going and hopefully catch the eyes of some Rioters to get their views.

We won't have enough of a playerbase. Most of use will still stick to a 5v5. Look at the popularity between summoner's rift vs TT.
