"Troll" is a vague construct of your imagination.
Yes, it's all in your head because you want everyone else to conform to the rigid confines you place yourself in. No, other people don't live the box you made for yourself.
No, that player playing Brand Support is not a "troll".
No, that Quinn top is not "trolling."
No, that duo jungle is not "trolling."
And no, that AP Ezreal is not a "troll".
There's more than one way to play the game. In fact, the very way Riot placed lanes in champion select already irks me because it panders to the idea that there are well-formed, solid "rules" on how League of Legends can be played.
Before ya'll youngins came to League, duo top was a thing. Ashe with teleport mid was a thing. AP this and that on normally AD scaling champions, before Riot removed most of them, was a thing.
There is a generally optimal way to play - to farm gold in lane is to acquire an advantage to purchase items that grant stats your opponents can't necessarily react to advantageously. But it does not mean you have to do it. It's only one strategy. So, no this and that isn't trolling. If any of the above is trolling, I've been "trolling" since I began playing the game. And in all these years, I've never been chat restricted, banned, or anything of the like.
I believe I speak for a majority that have also never been punished in any way for playing extremely off-meta playstyles like AD Bard and Ahri or Support Ashe.
No, League doesn't live in YOUR box. Deal with it.
