Whats up! Returning league player with some questions.

Whats up all! I used to play league a lot (never ranked because I felt like I didnt know enough about Moba's yet) but about a year and a half ago my laptop fried and I was forced to quit league. Been playing mobile Moba's (specifically Vainglory) ever since. Yesterday though I got 1 of my run down PC's working and have installed league on it.

What I would like to know is just the usual for any returning player. Who is meta right now? I lost touch with the league news and patch notes a while ago and I really need a good idea of who's good now. I also need a good idea of items. I wasnt too in touch with items when I played but now I really dont know anything about builds.

Just for some help go get more specific results on who's good I main ADC bot lane (I hope Twitch and Varus are good) and I secondary Mid sometimes swapping it for Top. Havent played in a while though and I might care for a different secondary so any bit of extra info would be fun and appreciated.
