I can play x champ 6-8 times a week and still get level 7 with it within weeks doesn't really mean it is my one trick champ yes i do have lvl 7 with doesn't mean you should flood my map with pings whenever i make a mechanical mistake i am not LL stylish or DOPA i am still not that very good zed player despite having a lvl 7 with him . Same applies to others aswell , your adc having a lvl 7 mastery doesn't mean you should make fun of his mastery level whenever he fails. Thank you.

PS just because I have a diamond border from last season doesn't mean I'm going to perform well in every normal game.

I'm not even going to finish my placements this year because of the harrass I got from people "wtf how you got diamond ebay much" by people who expect me to perform like a diamond after barely having played for over 6 months and on a class that I try to avoid in ranked.

Yeah I had people asking me how much I payed for this account literally within a week after hitting Gold. And I was playing mostly Silvers, which is only a couple of ranks away. There isn't a magical barrier between Silver 1 and Gold 5

I like to flash mastery as I accidentally commit suicide (using mobility into several enemies, missing almost every spell on a predictably moving enemy, etc.)

It's more fun to poke fun at yourself than it is to annoy others.

You need to, first, spam the shit out of them to get mastery 5 and then you need to get several S grades.

S grades are only given to people who do much better than the average player on that champion. On champions like Janna, Lulu, and Sona, where it's either a bit harder to express your skill on the champion or expressing your skill on the champion is relatively low impact, it's pretty goddamn hard to get the tokens playing normally.

I have mastery 7 Sona, but that's only because I played her mid as often as I played her support, so the system judged that "Damn, this support is kicking ass!" instead of "OK, this mid is doing decently".

The game actually does account for roles, someone went jungle Janna and did average, more assists than kills and deaths, and not that good cs for a jungler, but he still got S because he did better than most Janna jungles.

You play Sona mid better than most others.

They should add 3 more mastery levels, taking 5 S, 5 S+, and 10 S+. So a mastery 10 would need to have gotten countless S's and at least 15 S+'s to be a master. That way we can separate it better.

Lol true but if you take your main to a role they don't usually fill and play decently, then you'll probably get an s. I should've elaborated in my previous comment. I still think s grades aren't a good enough measure of skill for higher mastery levels; we'll still have the same problems if we use the same system.

The thing is, you only need 3 S games on a champ to get mastery 7.

If you make it to rank 5 (no S games required) and then get a lucky few matches for the upgrade tokens, you can still suck at a champ on a regular day. Mastery rank only shows a time dedication, not necessarily your actual skill level or overall capability on that champ.

Some player simply don't have the consistency or skill to keep performing on a champ they have master 7 on. For instance, your first champ when leveling an account could easily be mastery 7 before you hit level 30, but you having mastery 7 when you're getting S ranks against level 22s and bot accounts is not the same as mastery 7 when playing against plats, diamonds, or higher.

That's the one problem with how mastery works right now, all you need is time and occasionally a lucky match and you get your little flair and emote.

You need 2 S- and 3 S scores after reaching level 5 to get mastery 5. That's just 5 above average games, that doesn't mean that you know how to play the champion perfectly. I have Mastery 7 on tons of ADCs, and still wouldn't say I'm great at any of them minus Caitlyn

What an ignorant comment. I have M7 Lissandra, however I haven't actively played this game in almost a year, do you honestly expect me to still be able to play her perfectly if I just jumped into a game right now?

This is only one scenario, there are a multitude of others that would explain why an M7 player isn't doing that well. Mastery has and never will mean anything, because it could range from anything to got a lucky S in a one sided 4v5 to just bloated the cs score.

I have M7 Kindred, that's pre rework Kindred. I do t know how to play her now. And anyway it's not that hard to get M5 and a couple Ss... you just have to spam them and get lucky 5 times.

I've only recently got my first M7 for my main, Lulu. As support, it can be hard to get an S. You gotta peel, meaning hey bye dead, and saving up kills for your adc. I got 140k pts on her and I got it by 134k. I have a blast with Lulu everytime I play her, since she's my MAIN. So... yeah.

I have no problem getting S on supports. At least 1 KS, less than 5 deaths, and 20+ assists I can usually pull of an S on my Rakan.

It's so easy to get Lv 7 mastery, all you need is an afk on the enemy team. If you play enough games, it will sooner or later happen. , and you can free farm and get that S or S+ for the token for free..

I have m7 on GP and I make mistakes. I can't play like a god 24-7 and when I get laned against shit like Camile or Fiora I am probably in for a bad time.

I do swap my m7 after a fuck up because I at least am having fun with it.

I never upgrade to 7 until I feel that I've earned it. I get flamed enough on my main, which I've basically mastered, that I don't need more on champs I'm less confident on.
