Kassadin's passive reduces magic damage taken at all times and he has an on-demand magic damage shield.

Katarina doesn't. The closest she has is damage reduction for a short duration on Shunpo.

katarina hit 5 target with her Q and her passive refresh her abilities on kill and assist AoE damage on her Q mr scaling and ability refreshing manaless champion what the actuality are you talking about?

these kids believe it's fine that some melee assassin like katarina to have MR scale per level and a passive that reset cooldown on her abilities and Q doing AoE damage while kassadin does not. and say that kassadin single shield damage and magic reduction in his passive is better than katarina passive and Q and mr scaling per level which is NOT!

he's melee too, i don't care they can remove kassadin passive and add the old attack speed for how much magic damage he has taken then add mr scale per level THEN i'll call it fair. Plain and Simple.

kassadin doesn't even need that dumb collision passive because he can riftwalk in and out. i rather have the attack speed back

also the range on his R been nerfed and then they added AP to compensate but you CANNOT go past 4 stacks.

they come here type some dumb stuff then leave i see this everyday.

What EndlessSorcerer said. Kassadin effectively has level 18 MR at level 1 and an on demand magic damage shield. He doesn't have MR per level as he already has magic damage resistance equal to (or greater) than MR per level would provide.

the passive and Q has nothing to do with his base stats , you don't know what you talking about.

kassadin passive provide mr , kata base stats provide mr, in the end kata have real passive that refresh her abilities when kassadin does not . the attack speed on dmg taken has been removed for one of the most useless phantom dancer passive "unit collition" when kassadin doesn't even need it HE CAN RIFTWALK IN AND OUT!!!!

kassadin is not weak, i've played enough to know, so shut up about it
katarina and kass are two different champions that fill different niches, stop comparing them
kassadin has no scaling MR because he has passive MR reduction and a magic damage shield on his q, him having equal magic resist to other champions on top of that makes no sense.

Actually, he doesn't scale in MR because they didn't really start allowing it for assassins and mages until a little after his release. Though I agree that he is still strong and people really should just remain quiet, people shouldn't be brought down because they want to speak up for what they believe.

you're right, my reply was a little overbearing, it's simply that as someone who played a lot of kass after the changes i felt the uproar about him being weak was over done and im tired of hearing about it. But again you're right, i shouldn't have reacted so harshly.

30MR + 15% reduces more magic damage than 53.4 MR

what does Kat and Kass have in common? the way they both play are extremely different and Kass doesn't need scaling MR since he has the passive which gives him more than enough magic damage reduction
