How to nerf Level 3 Malzahar Dragon clear: Give Dragon the Rift Herald patience (explanation inside)

I just happened to purchase Malzahar and then tried him out in Customs, and yes, even I managed to grab an early Dragon with Malzahar by level 4-5. It's all about making your Voidlings do the tanking job, similar to how Morde uses his Dragon to tank the Baron/Herald's attacks.

But while I was trying out Malzahar in a Custom game, I ran into this situation. I tried to solo Rift Herald this time, and for some reason, Rift Herald steadily loses his patience when he was focusing my Voidlings, which means there were occasions where the Rift has a burst of HP regeneration by a tab, and then I had to redo my solo leashing all over again, and the only way to grab the Rift Herald by myself is by sometimes using my own body to tank some hits.

I'm not sure if this is intended, or it's some kit that I haven't read up (be it on Malz or Herald), so here's my suggestion. Why not make Dragon have the exact same Patience behavior on the Dragons as well? That way, it would heavily nerf the solo dragon Malzahar, thus will require teammates to help with the Dragon leash.
