Between taking one cs with your with enemy taking one or denying the enemy taking one cs but also missing one yourself, which would you choose. To farm or deny?

Depends on who you're playing, what type of laning phase you're hoping to achieve.

If you're playing someone like Nasus, Gangplank, Vayne, Jinx, etc it would be better to get the cs, because you just want to farm and play passive and scale hard.

If you were playing someone like Pantheon, where your job is to simply make your lane opponent useless for the first 15ish minutes, deny him.

This. Aswell as if your behind or ahead. If your behind you want everything you can get. If your 20 cs ahead making them miss a couple furthers that lead.

Depends on what you get for missing that CS/ do they lose experience?

If you get a good trade/poke for missing the CS then it's worth, because you can deny more CS later. Also if you can stand super far in front of your wave, you can Denys them XP as well - which is super beneficial early (even more than the gold)
