Placements for rank are making players quit League.

Riot, I don't understand the value you are trying to create by placing Plat players in Silver and Diamond players in Gold and so on.

Who wants to grind ALL SEASON to achieve the highest rank you can, such as Plat levels, go 7/3 in placements and get placed in Silver?

If they belonged in such a low division, then wouldn't they fall to that division naturally?

The current system just seems pretty shitty. I've read a lot about high level (plat and up) players that feel encouraged to quit because that sounds better than grinding through lower divisions again.

if people really deserve their rank then they will climb back up...

Didn't they already climb to achieve their rank? I understand dropping a bit but going from Plat to Silver? Diamond to Gold? Unless they were boosted, that makes no sense.

no captain obvious, they didn't climb to achieve their rank! and i haven't seen anyone ranked that high drop that low. the lowest drop from diamond i've seen is like diamond 4 to gold 3. if you don't understand why they should have to get their rank again it's because every season there are new/different people and with that, do you think someone who got diamond in season 2 still deserves diamond now? just imagine how many people would be in high elo if there were no resets. with your logic there should not be any ranked re-placements because people already "climbed to achieve their rank."

You should take a course in reading comprehension, Captain Salt.

If they weren't good enough to keep their rank, then they would lose their rank to better players.

The specific case I'm referring to is plat players dropping to silver. If they belong in silver then they would naturally drop to silver.

I never said anything about "NO MOAR RESETS RITO" you fail.

reading comprehension? i think the one in need of that is you, for not knowing what implication is. i think the only salty one is you, throwing names around like that lol. and you know that people can achieve a rank and then stop playing? wow! now there's a thought!

If they are above gold, their rank would decay.

Again, you fail.

They may have already climbed there in the previous season, but not the current season. Things change heavily each year so this is a fair way of deciding if they can still be at that level.

That's the only good answer on this post. Thanks.

They'll climb back in 2 seconds. Relax.

You need about est. 6 wins to move up a rank and , 7 to move up a tier considering no losses. so S3 to P3 is 68 games at 30 min average is 34 hours of game play.

You gain more LP at the start of the season (ie 30+ LP), as well as skip divisions if you're significantly better.

You're literally complaining that you have to play the game.

That's not the case bud. I don't mind playing. I'm talking about the players that say they will quit from being placed in Silver after playing in Plat.

If they belong in plat, it will be easy to get back there.

Sure, but even Diamond players know how hard and inconsistent Silver is. Oh well.
