Nerf/Remove Fizz's Trickster in Season 5

CST Resonance··8 votes·6,880 views

Within the very short time span that I have been playing League of Legends, I have come across what the community believes to be "over powered" champions:

MasterYi Teemo Akali Katarina Yasuo And many others that didn't quite make the list, but you get the idea.

The defining characteristics of these champions is their high damage output, whilst having little HP.

Here's the problem with Fizz (Satan) I would like to discuss.

None of the champions listed above are over powered by any means, I know I'll get a lot who disagree with me but that's for a different day. The only thing that is super annoying, and what I or really anyone else I've talked to about this, is Fizz's E, or Trickster. He's considered squishy, and so if any CC lands on him, he's taken out of the game rather early. The problem with that is both Fizz's kit and his E. His E allows him to ignore just about all CC, whilst his build can consist of item 3157 item 3026 item 3102 and he will be doing a substantial amount of damage, while being immortal.

The conclusion I have reached is that Fizz should remain targetable and be stripped of his Trickster, or his kit should be changed entirely. Agree/Disagree? Discuss.

Congratulations, you figured out that Zhonya's is OP. Welcome to earth.

And the first troll strikes! Love this community.

Fizz is only OP because he can E, burst, Zhonya, and then E again because it's off cooldown. Downvoted.

Zhonyas is op? SENSE WENH?

Fizz is op, nothing new here. For me, they need to tone down his early damage because the amount of burst he does with little or no items is stupid and generally unavoidable...especially for older champs that were created before mobility creep was a thing.

I agree 100%. As a Lux main, I find it next to impossible to CS early, without feeding. My main problem is even when he's against Ryze, who is supposed to be his hardest counter, it's still a hard matchup. Granted, that may be because I'm probably not a good Ryze. I blame this on trickster, because it allows him to ignore all minion agro, slay the champion he's facing, turn 360 degrees and walk away.

I've never seen a lux player lose to a fizz before

you need to improve bro :P

Really? I thought that Fizz was something of a counter to Lux because Lux is sqhishy, immobile, and requires landing a telegraphed ability to protect herself (which Fizz can dodge). I mean, she has a range advantage and a shield to survive burst damage, but if the Fizz properly plays around cooldowns he shouldn't have much trouble.

Lux loses to Fizz almost all the time. Fizz counters Lux, but that's not the point I'm trying to make. His E allows him to ignore all agro in the early game. It's over powered because he has such a massive damage output, he shouldn't have a move that allows him to ignore all damage. He's an assassin; he should have to pay for doing such damage.

I've been fine on Lux vs fizz. You just harass him with E every time it's up. With a few points in it and some AP fizz has to dodge it with trickster and when he comes down its an easy Q land and more harass

Don't blind pick Lux into fizz???

By your logic we should nerd Vayne because you can't autolock Darius top.

You should have read more into my post. Ryze is his hardest counter. Ryze doesn't win lane against Fizz.

Disagree. None of the champs listed there are overpowered.

Two of them are however toxic.

He can easily dodge ults...it's a free zhonhya's up every 8 seconds, and it's really frustrating when you can't even CC him to stop him. You literally have to bait his E, then immediately go in or else he can continue E'ing

shadecrapper1 votes

yeah at maxed out E. But lvl 1 16 seconds...

That was 3 months ago hun.....I've moved on to bigger and better threads.

So then, should Vlad, Elise, Yi and Fiora all lose their untargetability? They can all build those items.

Combined with that, Nocturne, Sivir, Morgana and Poppy can all negate CC, and can build those items, should they be reworked / removed?

It seems that everyone that complains about Fizz hasnt played him. He starts out with 260 mana, and his E takes up 100 per use along with have a 16 second cool down. Think about that. Lets say Fizz is level 3 and decides to all in, Q 10 sec cool down, W 10 sec cool down, and E 16 sec cool down. If he hits you will all of it and ignite your probably dead, but if he has to use Q or E as a gap closer his damage out put is dramatically lowered. And he wont be able to do anything for a while. He is high risk high reward, his damage out put is very high but how squishy he is makes up for it. If fizz makes a mistake he is dead, if he is cc'd he is dead. Just because a well times E will make ganks look stupid or sertain ults worthless doesnt mean that you cant just wait for him to use it then go in. Fizz has a lot of micro manage, unlike Yasuo Katarina who only have cool downs. I mean wtf is that shit.

He's no OP because of the reason you've stated. While it's highly annoying to deal with, it's not what puts him into the OP category. W/o that skill he cannot lane at all against most mid lane champs. What is probably too good on him is his debuff which gives reduced healing combined with his high burst. There's little counter play their. His ulti is where a lot of his burst comes in and that can be removed or missed leaving him worthless. However he's the only assassin (iirc) that can do that. It's an un-needed addition to his kit that is broken. He should be punished for missing his ulti but should not reduce healing on the target he failed to kill which then forces them to play more defensive because he failed. That's too much utility on a champ that shouldn't bring any other than kill potential.

My problem is, that I don't want him to be nerfed into oblivion. Fizz is a burst champion, and I believe he should stay that way; however I believe that Trickster is what breaks Fizz. Most mid lane champions have some sort of CC. Trickster allows him to bypass that CC, do loads of damage, then walk away.

shadecrapper1 votes

Then have no mana left. Maybe just look at the blue bar under his health bar. If it is have way gone by lvl 3 he cant all in. Or if he does and you survive... hes a gonner.

What about Leblanc LeBlanc? She got a lot of freakin' damage in early game !! I know she's an assassin too, but WTH > "Nerf LeBlanc!"

I don't like these posts "Fizz is OP", "That freakin' fish OMG!", "Nerf Fizz". Fizz Fizz is an assassin for God's sake. He was nerfed every year again and again. Yes, he was my main from 2013 and now in 2015 he's W and R was nerfed again. 0 AD for Fizz on his R, without R Fizz is useless and that makes him just a KSer :(

GJ R1ot! Nerf Fizz more please (nerf all champs) and I will take a break from LoL for a long time...
