This has been a bug that's been off and on for roughly 2-3 months. I press launch, and nothing happens aside from the launcher disappearing my client never reappears. I generally fix this by opening task manager finding the client and opening the file location and double click it from there. Today I tried it, and it didn't work. I've tried running it as an administrator and that didn't work either. Please help me out. Thanks.

I had the same issue. I just re installed but now when ever my patcher is up my whole computer freezes. I just recommend re installing for now.
Does anybody elses patcher get stuck at 260 mb and freeze their entire computer? My browser and start menu gets the whole not responding thing where you can click anything. I can freely move my mouse.

So this worked for me you should try it try ending the adware process if you've downloaded it I ended up deleting it but yeah give it a shot

Guys I finally fixed that problem.Just go to the folder of League of Legens/RADS/projects and delete lol_patcher folder.After that, start launcher and everything should be fine.

Same. I reinstalled and I STILL CAN'T OPEN THE LAUNCHER. It doesn't matter if I reinstall, delete lol_launcher, try to repair the file and run as administrator, it isn't opening! Help, Riot, I can't play your game.
Sometimes this happens to me. What I do is simply open 'task manager' and terminate all the processes related to League (League of Legends Client and PvP Patcher or whatever). After this I open the launcher again and click 'Launch' again. If it still doesn't open I just do the same thing again and again until it opens. If this happens, it usually takes 2-3 times to get the game going.
