"ADC Mains Are Never Happy With the Meta!"

Fact: The reason why ADC mains are never happy with the meta is because the meta is always determined by and based on the most effective way to counter the adc role at any given time. This is because the adc is viable in all meta because of its function in terms of objective control and sustained damage. So the meta always evolves based on the best current way to kill/neutralize the enemy ADC. Thus it never really feels fun to them because they are always the target.

Blame the game design because what I just said is the absolute truth. Its hard to be happy when the game more or less depends on you being able to do your job and you are the number one target every game all game. Meanwhile if you die early the team rages and reports you. ALL while the enemy is typically playing the style/champs that most effectively kill you.

Edit: I am happy to see such a conversation about this topic that hasn't devolved into a bunch of finger pointing. I think we are all in agreement that the ADC plays such a vital role in the game that it really does shape the way everyone else plays the game. Keep it going and keep it friendly!

It's simple; we delete all adc's from the game.

Problem solved.

Well yea obviously, that's what happens when you're playing the most important/best role in the game lol, the entire game revolves around you and what can beat you

ADCs have been the best and most important class in the game since 2011, people saying otherwise are kidding themselves

I though Tank meta was for the cinderhulk, not for a item that kills the adc faster.

Correction. The Support or Jungler get raged at if the adc fails.

Meh, they play the most overpowered class in the game. Their tears sustain me.

Tank meta is ADC meta

It gives ADCs an actual purpose outside of sieging towers, previously any role could gib any other role.

Honestly, I would switch my 'main role' out of ADC if there were another viable role for me.

Mid is too contested to even consider "maining" anymore. 95% of people want to play mid. Support is fucking boring. I'm not a masochist. I'm super fucking bad at bruisers, I either build like a glass cannon or like a damage-less rock. That pretty much rules out top/jungle.

As an ADC Main; I can confirm it is very irritating to have the entire meta be dependent on how shitty you'll play. As an ADC Main; I can confirm it's a fun challenge to overcome. As an ADC Main; I try my hardest to defy all odds, no matter how harsh the current meta is to ADC's As an ADC Main; I am a champion.

Adcs are the most important class in the game, of course the meta evolves around them..what are you trying to tell us?

(Looks back at the last couple seasons) Holy crap, the OP is right.

I agree entirely; when I play ADC I've mentioned numerous times to various friends that I hate feeling like I'm not even a player, but rather a walking objective.

ADCs generally have very little capacity to make #LCSbigplays because their role constrains their kits. Quinn is awful as a marksman because her kit allows her to do other things, so her sustained damage has to be lower than other marksmen. Kog'maw is perhaps the strongest straight-up "right click to win" champion in the game, and he has NOTHING in his kit that he can use to outplay his opponent, only his R to desperately try to secure a kill. There's a reason most ADCs are interchangeable, and people just overall play whichever ADC is currently favored the most by what other people are playing in other roles: They're not really capable of effecting much change in a game, and their one job is to not die. That's it. Don't die. It's not "isolate X target" or "CC this guy" or "disrupt the enemy team" or "effectively take objectives solo" etc etc. it's "Don't die, because as long as your team keeps you alive you will win fights by sheer force of existing." ADCs can't do anything by themselves, and if they CAN because they're so monstrously fed, they STILL are most effective just following their teammates around and outputting damage.

I've kinda stopped playing ADC much lately even though it's perhaps my best role, because it's so dull having no real impact on the game. Having the strongest attacks doesn't give you game impact, it just turns you into a mobile artillery unit that your teammates move around the map like a chess piece.
