Riven and the *new* Black Cleaver

I'll be frank - I'm new to Riven , but I know that item 3071 hasn't been ideal on her since it's last changes (unless I'm picking that up wrong). Will this BC change bring the item back to her core? I'd think that since it gives movespeed you'd have an easier time catch up to AA if they start backing up, etc.. What would this change do to Riven and if she does build it, when should she build it/against who?

The new BC will not be good on Riven.

To build it, she'll need to build Phage. Phage does not have the same power in lane for Riven that either Brutalizer or Tiamat do.

She does not benefit from the movement speed, because she already has four dashes.

New BC doesn't have Armor Pen like Ghostblade, so she'll be hard countered by a Sunfire Cape if she builds it.

New BC doesn't have as much AD as Hydra, so her shield will scale for less.

If she builds it, she's making a long term investment for the 20% CDR, which means she won't have lane bully or snowball potential. At least not like if she had Tiamat or Brutalizer. No, both Hydra and Ghostblade will be much better for Riven than the new BC. Try the Cleaver on Renekton, Darius, or Sion.

This item will be supbar to her as it doesn't provide the most essential to Riven lifesteal and as such sustain. Also it has a phage part which is totally useless on a champ with 4dashes on shorter cd than Eve's Q.

No this new item won't be a good item for her so i guess it'll be mainly ghostblade riven now which can make his combo a lot smoother with the active . Or just simply leave bruta alone and sell it later for something else.

People are f-ing clueless. The item will be incredible on Riven, it just won't be something that you rush on her most likely.
