No Point banning a champ forever and here's why.

I'm going to use a top ban Champion as a good example for this reason. Lets take Syndra, we all know she hits you with enough balls in the face that you cry.

However be honest, how many people with a good show of hands could say they ACTUALLY Play Syndra?

The last time I've even seen a Syndra get played was in the worlds and EVEN BEFORE then It was rare I seen one.

And even when someone insta locks her in because she wasn't banned I see the same result 9 out of ten times they proccede to feeeeed.

Everyone if someone isn't banned you still have to be able to play the champion.

I'm simply come to the conclusion people will only play certain champions ONLY when Worlds makes them seem that they are better then most people think they are.

I'm waiting for the day someone in Worlds plays ADC Teemo and wins with it, so I can see Teemo being top banned. (For the record I did that once it was funny..)

This has nothing to do with the title you gave. You should have said "no point in banning FOTM champs that used to have poor playrates". If a champion is inherently good and easy to play, ie Amumu in silver, I will sure as hell perma ban him.

Part of the reason you ban them is to stop the enemy from picking them.

The other part is to stop your team from picking them.

Because Syndra is legit freelo right now. Her hitboxes are huge and her stun lasts way too long, plus its child's play to get 6-7 balls with her ultimate now. Any mage player thats worth anything can play Syndra well right now because she's so strong.
