Whats the point of champion preview before champ select?????

It just adds an easier way for people to troll-> which leads to people not actually previewing their actual champs. I know the system is a day in but what is a plausible reason for champion preview??

I think its purpose is to keep your team from banning the Champions you intend to pick, or to help strategize a team composition.

But it does the exact opposite. If someone doesnt get a lane they just banned a previwed champ

You get an idea of what the team is trying to play. By referencing between each other beforehand, you can self-adjust, suggest something better for the comp, or mull over your bans more effectively.

Basically, less of asking "this or that?" and more "unspoken synergy".

Best scenario: to make a better team comp.

For example, If I see top lane select Fiora and mid lane select Yasuo for preview select, then I (in the jungle) can see that we have high AD damage but no tank. So I can pick an AP jungler like Zac or Sejuani to show them that I got their back before we actually select our champs.

But the odds of that happening is like....0.0002% right now. Maybe later on once all the trolls are gone and people understand how to use the new system it will go up to 0.02%..but that is not for a while.
