Patch changes for the Pros...where is the logic?

Let me see if I have this straight.

Riot makes a game that has champions and items with certain properties.

Players learn to get the most out of those champions and items through practice.

Riot changes things after they get really good at learning the system that RIOT created, because they are better than Riot wants them to be with that champion or build?

Wtf kind of clown show is this anyways?

Balance over high level play makes more sense than drooling Bronze players any day.

Maybe they wouldn't have to do so much balancing if they, ya know, actually thought about what they are doing. Remember how many times they make a dumbfuck change to an item or mastery or champion and then they have to undo it after it proves to be OP or broken...AS EVERYONE SAID IT WOULD BE FROM THE START? Its like they dont actually analyze decisions first. It really is fucking mind boggling that these idiots are successful and making money.

You do realize that League is a game and part of keeping that game fun and the money coming in is to change things and introduce new content right? I mean we can all pretend that they are solely concerned about balance but that's just not true.

Of course it isn't. They keep it unbalanced on purpose. It drive sales.

They introduce new items, skills and champions to keep the game interesting. Knowing every single combination that champion can do with every single other champion and item is impossible to predict.

Sure. But they really don't try? Remember when they changed the masteries and the crits were out of control? Remember how literally as soon as it was released everyone said it was broken? And then a couple months later they finally fixed it? Everyone knew it was dumb as fuck and yet Riot released it. Did they not think about it, analyze it? They don't. My buddy grew up with Marc Merrill. He's and ego maniac

ok, your post and title are not very coherent, but I'll address the title specifically. They explicitly stated in a patch recently (i ... believe 6.16 or 17) that the upcoming patches will be EXPRESSLY FOR WORLD'S balance. So if you are not in worlds, do not expect the balance changes to make sense for your ELO.

Says who. Does chess rules change? Do major sports rules really change that much? Why does league HAVE to patch every 2 weeks? Where is this written in stone?

Examples of symmetrical gameplay (chess/sports) don't make good counter examples for asymmetric gameplay (League/MOBAs in general). If Chess was constantly adding new pieces and letting players pick what pieces they played with then you'd have a closer example... and you'd also have a lot more rules for chess, as well as rules being updated more often.

Riot has mentioned that the game could probably be OK if they went hands off for a while, sighting examples in competitive fighting games where players find out something new about a game that hasn't been changed in years and it shifting the meta. They've decided they'd rather be more hands on than that, tackling problem champions and helping weaker ones themselves rather than waiting years.

Hands on. Thats their own ego talking. It starts with Marc Merrill all the way down. They don't need to patch every 2 good damn weeks. Im so sick of seeing them change items, change them back, change champions, change them back. Its like they over correct every problem...and create a new problem. Look don't assume these peope know what they are doing. They piggybacked off of DOTA, and Marc Merrill came from means and was able to secure venture capital at the right time.....this doesn't mean they are experts in game design or theory. They just made a fun game, and honestly, I would bet my life there is not one person at Riot who has and advanced degree in statistical analysis or game theory
