Diamonds in solo Q against an unranked?

I'm level 28 in blind pick against (3) diamond 5, (1) gold 5, and (1) unranked. Why is this a thing? Btw i was solo not in a party. Also i'm not good enough to go against diamonds so why is this fair? XD

Ranks are not taken into consideration for normals.

Maybe because they are trying out positional ranking in normals. When i play them i get weird matchups too.
