What do you think about this?
Personally I appreciate this. I feel it makes up for the games where you have afk's/feeders/hardcore ragers in your promos, even when you won every game up to the promotional series. Yeah, you might still lose the first time around, but now theirs more reason to try again.
My one concern is that it might push people up a little too fast. Do I think I belong in S3? Not really. When I'm not tilting myself or having mysterious lag I generally do well within my main role. But I know I have a lot to learn. When I play with higher ranked friends and I face plats or even diamonds, I learn a lot more than when I face fellow silvers. I know that if I climb, at each rank I have something to learn. Right now I think I'm a little lower than I should be, but that's my own fault for not playing more ranked, or for tilting myself. Yet I still believe I could learn something at the next rank. So my fear is that because this will probably push people up faster, some folks will be in higher ranks than they should have reached before they had a chance to learn what they could at the lower ranks. Granted, this stops at gold, but we all know those people we've encountered where you wondered how they made it to your division.
