So I recently had a game (normal, draft), when in champ select I let them know 1) that I was filling and 2) that I was going to be practicing something new. I really wish I had screenshot that because what I got from everyone? Things like:

I've mained everything so I can give you pointers

Bots are for learning about champs, norms are for learning to PLAY champs :)

I was simply in love with my team from that point forward. I mean, I've been raged at so many times after telling people that I'm practicing a role (I main support, I really really really need to learn other roles) and to not expect awesomeness. To have a team full of nice people really shows that this community isn't all negative. I think we just focus too much on that.

But before I get side tracked. Here's what my main point it: I think it would be super cool if we could leave a note when we honor someone. Something Riot could see, and at the end of the year they can highlight a few people who go extraordinary notes about how kind/awesome/super they were. Kinda like the note we can leave after reporting someone, only this time for good stuff :)

Sounds like a neat idea. Or maybe, how we have space provided to write a note when we report someone, when we honor someone give the player about as much space/characters as we can put in our Status message for our friends list, to add a bit of note along with the honor. So when we exit the after battle screen, we see what honors we got, and maybe even which were given from whom, along with possible notes with each honor. The only thing I can think of is somehow trolls imagining a way to exploit this and further harass/abuse people. Such as sending offensive messages in the notes and this being difficult for Riot to track and or follow.

It's kind of like how you mute someone in a game and they realize you have, so they rage at everyone else about you and try to turn them to you. At the end of the game wether you win or lose, you see all players messages in the chat window wether you muted them in game or not. Even if you IMMEDIATELY leave this after game lobby, thus preventing yourself from seeing further abuse (since you can't mute people in lobby's) how often do we have friend invites sent to us from these abusive trolls seeking to IM us and further continue their assault. Like they just literally cannot let it go and one can imagine them slinging things off their desk and a nasty foul cloud of rage smoldering over their heads. That'd be bad. People have a tendency to ruin good things for others (The RaF thing for example)

In that case, blocking should be able to stop anything further, and you should have control of what "Honor Messages" show up. I get where that abuse comes from, I've been raged at many times. I've had to learn to mute before I, ehem, eloquently tell them to shove it.

I still think it would be cool to implement, I'm sure Riot can figure out way to take care of that. Like the refer a friend, and how they altered it. :)

Also: I usually tell people "report so-and-so." rage ensues "^ for that reason" Makes it very easy for them to see what I had to put up with.

I'm not sure, but unless I'm mistaken I believe asking others to report is against the summoner's code. Witch hunting, or something? Mobbing? I think it's ok to tell others that you are reporting someone and to state why you are doing it, and leave it at that. In the end, hearing an opponent go "Pls report this champ toxic" and hearing "I'm reporting this champ for toxic" do come across as differently. They aren't asking me to do anything, I hear too many people begging for reports, often them being negative.

But when someone is just expressing themselves and telling everyone what they are putting up with, they are also stating how they are dealing with it and not trying to drag more people into the fisticuff/cartoon cloud ball. But yes I'd like to see this implimented.

It's not that. Its if you mention their names in the boards that its a witchhunt. And I do my best not to say it during the game, cause that kill teamwork even more, and the enemy knows that.

Usually I'll say "please report for verbal abuse, they stated this, this and then this before I muted them" I hate when people ask for reports and don't give a reason. Then its like why? I didn't see anything wrong. Don't get upset with me for asking why. XD

Mobbing: The act of galvanizing or rallying others , to incite anger or rage towards an individual, to join in a group against a singular opposition. Basically it comes down to this:

Unless that person was typing in all chat and giving the enemy team a reason to report him or her, by you typing in all chat, asking that person to be reported, and giving if any a reason why, you are creating a Mob. They don't know if that person is actually being toxic, for all they know you could be a liar and complaining about how violently toxic Brand is and how he's asking you to kill yourself. But Brand is chat restricted and has barely said anything at all outside of gj or pls help.

I've had this explained, you can do and say whatever you want in every single one of your games. But I've discussed this with more then one Red before and in other threads on more then one occasion. The basic solution I was given and told was to state what YOU are doing.

"I'm reporting Brand for verbal abuse, I asked him to stop and he just keeps on. He's muted now"

It is an entirely YOU statement. You don't' ask or threaten, you state what you are doing and why you are doing it. This is a case of Mobbing, which is against the summoner's code and will contribute to violations on your account health:

"Omg! Please report Brand for verbal abuse! He won't stop he keeps on and on! Muted "

It's entirely seen as annoying and generally unpleasant when you see this from the other team. Especially when Brand types back in all chat claiming his innocense and how it's actually that person being toxic. You don't know who to trust, or believe, and soon you're thinking about it and typing back and paying less attention to the game.

You've very much welcome. Also, some advice then I myself am currently trying to take better and use, is not to tell someone you're "going" to report them, unless it's a very intense case off verbal abuse. The "threat" of reporting someone if they don't do this, or if they don't stop doing that, it's basically a threat. Play my way or I will report you, and disguise it as another valid reason.

Even when you feel it's valid, and even when it IS a valid time to report someone, almost always 9.5/10 it's better to just do that. Report them. But don't make a conversation about it. It's something I'm working on too so good luck yourself if you have ever had that as an issue.

Yeah, it seems like there is too much possibility for trolls to use this to hurt people. *sad face* I think it would be a neat idea to show the username/champion of the people that gave the honor though. Possibly with a link to the match for those times where we don't see the honor till after the next game or login.

Honor is going to be a factor in the new Tribunal when it comes out. Lyte mentioned something a couple weeks ago on Reddit about doing something very similar to this.

It would work, I think, basically the same as the Report messages did on the old Tribunal's Reform Cards. I'm hoping they do so, as it'd be a pretty awesome touch.
