So Bard can stun his entire team?...

I think there should be some sort of in game thing that you should have to click to be affected by Bard's ult if he's on your team, which can also be cancelled at any time. The potential to troll with his ult is insane. My marksman is a jerk, I'll stun him and walk away. Enemy team is chasing, I'll stun my entire team and walk away. Enemies are diving a tower, I'll stun my tower. These are a few ways that I'd imagine it could be abused. Personally, if I'm in a team fight, I don't want my own teammate randomly tossing an AOE stun onto me.

I'm also curious if his ult works on the Obelisk.

EDIT: Relax everyone, I know it's a "stasis". Even though you're invulnerable, you're still unable to move or attack, so you're basically stunned. Being stunned is being unable to react. I know it's not classed as a stun by Riot, but by actual definition you are stunned since you can't react. The entire point of this is concern for abuse, don't be eager to try and correct someone.

EDIT2: Also, this is a legit possibility and concern. I would bet my life on players using his ult to troll. Please don't down vote me for being concerned about the quality of my games.

I have played enough dota 2 to know that having things backfire adds skill to using abilities.

Or did you not learn that from J4 "helping"?

We already have plenty of champions that are capable of ruining a teammate's day (Blitzcrank can pull enemy initiators, Anivia's wall, Kalista's ultimate at the wrong time, Jarvan's ultimate, etc.). They aren't considered to be major problems when compared to the legions of AFK and flamer trolls.

I agree...I find the current two champ spree of "champs that can troll teammates with their ultis" a bit concerning...

But, if you think about it, it's no worse than a rammus that uses revive/teleport with homeguard boots to see how many kills he can feed to the enemy team because he didn't get to play mid. That was not a fun game for me.

Trolls will be trolls. Can't let it ruin the game for everyone else by letting them define the rules.

The fact that literally anyone had to stop and think about how someone might troll with bard's ult is enough to be disappointing to me. You can PORTAL ACROSS THE MAP. HE LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING FROM A MIYAZAKI FILM. And yet someone's going to try to troll.

I agree with the abuse. I've seen people abuse the Kalista ult to a degree even though you have some control over it.

I foresee this happening:

New Bard player (or even experienced one having a bad day) feeds.
ADC says something in all chat like , "this support..."
Bard player gets pissed and starts ulting people on his own team at game breaking times...like at dragon or trying to kill a tower or whatever.

Did you realize people can already troll very effectively in this game?

Did you realize that shit like support Jax, 5x Zeal Rammus and telling the enemy jungler locations in all-chat is also trolling and much easier than trolling with stasis?

But you can damage stunned enemies whereas if they're in stasis you cannot damage them

If I can use his Ult to freeze a Yi mid alpha strike/fiora mid ult, you can bet I'm going to. Wether on my team or not.

It's not a stun, it's a stasis. The difference lies in the skill of the Bard and the teamplay involved ^^ So he isn't a Solo Queue champion, it doesn't make him bad. The only things that went wrong with Kalista's ult was the sudden (camera) shift, but overall I think Riot's been handling this system of affecting allies pretty well. I trust it will work this time, too.

How does his affect work with channels I wonder. If its just they cant do anything and take no damage then Katarina is going to have a field day with this. Just piece the puzzle together.

Also did anyone see a range indicator on that ultimate?

I totally buy the "this will be used to troll" argument.

I still think the cool outweighs the suck. Lots of times where stasising your own guy is a totally good idea.

I seriously doubt it will get used often enough to troll to matter. You can make this argument for J4, Anivia, anyone with a hook pulling initiators into your team, and so on. People generally want to win more than they want to troll. If they were going to troll you and Riot didn't make Bard, they would have done it with something else.

Sidenote : I wonder if you can QSS or Cleanse out of a Bard ultimate.

Yeah, I understand that some other champs do similar things, such as Anivia and J4, but you're still able to move and fight, which is enough for me. I'm entitled to my own opinion and have the right to voice it, and I just really don't like the idea that my teammate is able to put me into a stasis. Sure there will likely be very few trolls compared to normal players, and I'll probably be saved at times by a Bard ult, but I want to have control over my own character and I don't want a teammate having the ability to control my character.

Yeah, the idea is really cool, but I don't like the idea the a teammate is able to put me into a stasis. He can activate an AOE hourglass on me and there's nothing I can do, I shouldn't be getting CC'd by a teammate, and I don't want to be.

It's not a stun, it's a mass stasis - exactly like Zhonya's, only effecting everyone within X radius.
