Why does the ranked season take into account last seasons rank??

This is honestly so stupid, my first ever ranked placement like 4 seasons ago i finished silver 4, the placements for 2 seasons after (i didn't play league for an entire year in 2013) i got put in bronze 3 then every season since, bronze 3... Plus it feels like doing good in placements doesn't do anything

Of the 10 games these were my kda and outcome

2/6/3 loss (4v5) ) Got matched with all 6/9/6 win ) silvers or higher in 12/0/4 win ) the four of these 8/0/1 win ) matches 2/6/5 loss 10/7/13 win 1/2/16 win 1/14/7 loss (played vlad support with 800 ping... that could have been worse) 5/14/9 loss 4/10/14 loss

all the losses were either steamrolls or 4v5's and all the wins were hard fought not to mention i usually got S- or better... yet some how despite the way the ladder works i got placed lower then i ended the previous season..

i honestly feel as tho all that matters is win loss compared to last seasons rank.. game quality, after match stats and solo/duo/whatever q has no change either

Edit: (i like to rant a lot because that seems to be the only way people care about anything you have to say (even if it triggers people) a response and opinions is better then being a robot )

Also its a good thing we dont get a hard reset, Imagine diamonds having to play against bronze and silver players after every season, it would be horribly boring and a stompfest for the diamond player. And then you guys would complain about how its unfair that you have to face diamond players~

Thats where the ranked system is stupid, in the fact it matches you in a "tier system" (B<S<G<P<D<M<C) as apposed to showing raw MMR in a justifiable number...
The system they have now requires 7 wins in a row to go up 1/5 a division and from 5 of one to 5 of another is 36 straight wins... As apposed to a system where bronze 5 would be allocated to 0 points and challenger being something like 5000 and at the end of every season it would reset all players from 0-4000 to 2000 (this being the baseline for the higher player percentage) and everyone above 4000 to 3500 or so (this being based much around tier systems like wow, starcraft, shellshock, ect.) (the numbered ranked system is also currently in the game but only in the challenger tier.. rating players in that tier by their NUMBER OF POINTS)

It's simple.

In order to get ranked you have your MMR, right? And your MMR doesn't reset. Thus, the MMR you have is your "starting" point. If you were doing well last season, than you are in better position to climb than someone who did worse. New season =/= new account, so you don't start from scratch.

i have made a new account simply because of this reason... just so i can play from fresh with no mmr rating, the grind to 30 was painful but looking to start my ranked attempt soon lol
