Dispite winning that game by a 1 auto attack difference in a bace race im still absoutly disgusted that there are this many bots still circulating the game...
ide say if i can take on a 1v9 in intermediate bots TSM should be signing me up right about now
I think you're somewhat overestimating the difficulty of 1v9 intermediate bots.
Theres custom matches of 1 challenger versus 5 golds and similar outnumbered things on youtube, and challenger ends up winning. Golds are probably better than intermediate bots, and challengers aren't necessarily even at the same level as pro players.
It depends on the bots also really and what champ he got. Some AI bots are way easier, and some are harder. Certain bot champs like Brand, Ezrael, Lux, Morg, Zilean do a lot better than the others because of auto aiming/auto shielding/auto ult etc. Against a support champ this would give him a very low chance of winning. To have a good advantage when you are outnumbered you usually need someone with lots of range to have a chance.
I'd still bet on a gold player to be superior to an intermediate bot, regardless of which one.
Incidentally, in at least one of the aforementioned lone outnumbered challenger matches was a fiora vs all, who is notably not ranged.
There's a lot of other factors when playing with a person though. The range is usually necessary vs lots of bots because it's the only way to take advantage of their bad engages. If you get certain bot matchups then it doesn't matter what champion you pick, but certain ones are far beyond the difficulty of the other bots. A person can make a lot of other dumb mistakes bots don't make especially when they're fighting someone who they believe is a lot better than they are. Whenever I watch one of these 1v5s on YouTube the 5 people are usually making dumb mistakes, playing way too safe, and seem intimidated which greatly affects their performance.
Which may be true, but ultimately my point is that winning 1v9 versus int bots does not make you pro player material.
No one said or implied that it was clearly a joke, just that it's not something a noob could do especially with some of the more difficult bots. Not sure what your point is really.
twas but a joke good sir..
and yes i will say that intermediate bots arent "hard" but when your account has very poor runes/masteries its quite easy for those bots to outscale you, and they get very very fed off your teams bots which makes it even harder
but how else would riot keep maintain "most popular moba with 20million active accounts"
I agree that it's super frustrating. It also depends on who you are using. I am always really annoyed when I am trying to practice my Janna/Soraka etc., and end up having to go full AD or AP in order to stand a chance at even winning the game (supporting a bot is usually pretty worthless...).
Needless to say, I usually get nothing out of games like that.
I've been noticing more and more of these jg bots. You can tell because they'll end with scores like 0/0/0 to 0/3/0. They'll farm one jg camp, AFK, then farm another, AFK again, repeat. They never interfere in lanes at all. If the enemy bots attack while the jg is walking by, the jg bot won't attack or do anything and lets itself die.
How do you tell that all of them are bots? I can't see anything wrong with the brand.
And the others might just be ,,,,new or ,,,,,inexperienced people, or some who bought accounts or were given accounts from friends.
I can easily imagine a n00b going like, "WW top with this warlords for more heals sounds good"
"edit"
I am retarded.
I just realized it was a AI game, i missed it completely.
You can't tell just based on their items and stuff now, but it's kind of a hint when you see lots of people with Smite and lots of Barrier, then most likely at least a few of them are bots. Bots can have any summoner skills, but it's common now to see them with Barrier or Heal/Ghost. The JG bots get smite though. There's a new JG bot lately that just farms JG and doesn't do anything else all game. If the enemy champions run into your JG bot, he'll just keep walking and let them kill him.
I am stupid, thought it was a low lvl game not a higher lvl AI one.
but yeah, 3 smites on the team seems odd to say the least, and shyv with barrier/heal is odd too.
I have seen a jg bot though in PVP though a long time ago that does the exact same thing. I've been seeing a lot of jg bots lately so I wouldn't be surprised at all if they are in SR.
well they all rush first item bork.. thats the trademark of a bot
They haven't done anything noticeable untill now (month? years?). Aram is similar as far as I know. Just a simple anti-BOT check before game starts, or randomly during respawn, or so. No big deal.
Maybe BOTS raise player number? :P
I kinda love games like that because then I can just power-farm the bots myself (and because of the inting jg bots, the AIs are always worth gold). Unless I'm playing a tank/non-damage dealer, then it can be hell.
