2 weeks ago, I was gold 4, and I said "fuck it, I want plat" so I grinded my way up. This is an AMA directed at people who struggle in ranked solo queue (bronze and silver)

Jax 114 games 55% winrate

Warwick 30 games 57 percent winrate

Volibear 28 games 61 percent winrate

Darius 9 games 56 percent winrate

Garen 4 games 50 percent winrate

ikr right... im silver and i'll have you know i won HALF of the TWO ranked games i had time to play these last 2 weeks.

and the one loss it took them until a 26k gold lead until they actaulyl managed to defeat us becuase we have an absolute moron Blitzcrank support who would steal all our adc kills. and force teamfights when we where 10-15-20-25k gold behind

Plat 1 / Dia 5 is notoriously frustrating, it's the worst elo to play in. I've solo carried myself to Diamond about 2 or 3 times already, I don't want to do it again :^)

The only meta champ I've been playing is Jax. I dunno how u define "meta" but to me it means the champ is winning games in LCK, which is the hardest, most competitive region to play in

And I was playing Jax long before it was played in LCK, like, before anyone else played Jax Jungle, I was doing it, back in early season 7 (I've mained Jax since his release)

LOL as if u think climbing in silver is anywhere as easy as climbing in gold.

bronze is easy enough becuase even though you get noobs on your team who cant play... niether can the enemy team.

but in silver its all w/e team gets the fresh lvl 30 loses. which completely fucks up everyone who is actually silver.

and yes its nearly EVERY game where you get a fresh lvl 30 who has no idea how to play...

at least in gold the changes are getting as fresh lvl thirty are MUCH lower. meaning you dont have on average 35-50% of your games as a coin flip before you even enter the rift.

a silver play who climbed out of bronze isnt going to easily throw the lead a fresh new player gives them. and if you hapeen to be vs an actaul silver abot not a fresh lvl thirty yourself you are going to find it much harder to MATCH said gold lead.

sure its possible. but at the same time it's very draining.

but god forbid u get TWO fresh lvl thirties... and they dont get any.

i feel if riot just made it so people with game knowlegdge ( or at the very least experience) were matches separately from newer players it would drastically help this,,

or you know riot coudl actaulyl fix thier shit by stop putting people who absolutely no idea how to play in "silver" becuase they arebtraibly want that to be "average".

yeah thats "average" after you LEARN HOW TO PLAY!!!. not "right when u hit ranked"

Hey there, I created this AMA to help out my fellow LoL players with solo queue stuff. Well the best response I can give to this..... is to stop focusing on your team mates and focus on yourself and your own performance. Just play to do better than your respective opponent.

So if I'm jungling, I want to at least do better than the other jungler. etc.

what i could do better? i could get a more stable internet connection.. i could move to the easy coast again to get better ping. i could quit my job to have more free time and time to play when i dont get kids playing.

none of those are viable solutions for me

i have been playing for over 5 years.. i know how to play... that's not the issue

i play the champs i have fun with.. and it just so happens NONE of those camp can "carry" they are ALL EXTREMELY team reliant.

i mean sure if i wanted to play the broken OP shit sure i could climb.. but i dont want to play that... i want to play the champs i like.

no she cant.. if the enemy team groups up there is absolutely NOTHING you can do by yourself.. you are a squishy poke champ, but you need dive in to kill them

Again, focus on yourself, you have the 2nd highest deaths on your team in the match you won yeah.. so? of one those deaths was stealing infernal.. yea dying is bad, but my deaths were there to secure a teamfight victory or secure an objective. (except the very first one where warwick actaully got a damn good outplay on me)

deaths are ok as long as you get somthing.. be it an objective. we fought HARD for that win. and we fought from behind... nastaully as a squishy champ i am going to end up dying more than the other 4 teammates hwo have built in self peel. i also made choices to use my heal to save a more important ally in a fight rather than myself.

i stole the infernal.. i called the baron that won us the game, i stole 2 drags i did was what neccary to win. regarless of how it affected my kda in the game. also... that particular warwick really seemed to like to ulti me.... XD
