@CertianlyT @Meddler MF's ult changes

I am a huge MF main. I have been playing her before the rework, and I continue to play her now. I love a lot of the changes you guys implamented, like making Double Up super rewarding to land on bounce. A lot say that its shit and impossible to hit, but I have gotten pretty good at nailing the double up. However, I was saddened to see the beautiful ult particle changes, but no buff to it. I'm glad its being looked into now. Currently, a few autos out damage the full 8 waves of bullet time. Early and Mid game its killer, but the decline in late game is very noticable. Whats worse is it immobilizes me. I would just like to know the kind of ideas that are circulating to make her ult worth casting late game. What do you guys plan on changing with it? From an earlier post by CertainlyT reads:

{quoted}

The present plan is for MF's changes to come out with the pre-season (so after Worlds), as they require particle updates to her base and skins.

Not to get everyone too excited, but we are also having to do a lot of performance testing to ensure that the number of bullets her ult fires at level 16 doesn't destroy min spec computers.

So it sounds like Bullet Time will be firing more shots. I assume it will be given an attack speed scaling similar to the Lucian ult then?

i hope not, the champs is cancerous enough. only time b4 she becomes meta

MF is cancerous? How so? She has a good lane phase, a good mid game, and a below average late. She is frail a a wet tissue. Like, any champ who can get in her face will melt her. The w strut active isn't as good as the GW. The strut active has helped a bit, but really MF isn't that overbearing. When I play against her, I never feel like she won from OP mechanics like massive self peel, % HP true damage, and invisibility with a massive AD steroid. I feel like she played it well, weaving double ups between attacks, landing the crit double up, and ulting properly.

What makes you dislike her?

so the only reason you are asking for buff is because you are comparing to meta?

i dislike her because she is underpowered

I m not asking for a buff. Riot has said they were going to buff her. I want to know what exactly they are doing to her.

Her being underpowered makes her cancerous?

MF has been consistently being one of the weakest ADCs regardless of what the meta is at the moment. He is not asking for buffs because she doesn't fit the meta but and Riot knows she needs something since she is underwhelming right now and there is no reason to ever pick her over anyone else.

Also how is someone being underpowered makes them "cancerous"? that statement makes no sense

The truth. MissFortune ult will finally deal more than a tickle =D

This comment suggests you dislike her for other reasons that AREN'T due to her being under-powered.

I can see why people dislike her due to her early game. She is easily the strongest early game ADC and slaughters everyone in lane. Extremely low cooldown/low mana poke that chunks you, great ability to all-in you and follow up on ganks, good ability to push and farm. Usually when people gank me I just end up getting a triple kill or something due to Miss Fortune's insane damage output early game.

I still wouldn't qualify her as cancer though, her early - mid game is extremely strong and It's why she has one of the highest damage output for all ADCs, but she'll still be not that great late game. By all means she'll do damage like all ADCs and she'll be able to kill a squishy in two auto attacks if they don't build Armor, but she isn't a hypercarry by any means since you can shut her down easily late game. Whereas hypercarries are hypercarries because they're hard to shutdown late game.

She really does not have the strongest laning phase. Even though I can land double ups, they only hurt on the crit bounce. Especially after first item. Also champions like Caitlyn and Kalista have a stronger laning than Mf, especially against her. Her early game is strong, but by no means is it the strongest. That title pretty much goes to Caitlyn.

Caitlyn and Kalista? Miss Fortune counters them both.

Miss Fortune's Q has the same range as Caitlyn's auto attacks. Miss Fortune's poke is also stronger, not only having a significantly lower mana cost and cooldown, she'll outpoke Caitlyn and her poke unlike Caitlyn's isn't really a skill shot. Even if you would classify it as so, It's extremely easy to hit and you're not punished for missing it with how low of a cooldown/mana cost it has unlike Caitlyn's Q. On top of that Caitlyn can NOT all-in somebody at the drop of a hat. Caitlyn needs to poke them down since she has no auto attack steroids besides her unreliable passive. Miss Fortune unlike Caitlyn has her auto attack reset, W passive, and W active allowing her to outtrade pretty much all ADCs early game.

I think Caitlyn's only strengths are her safety/range since she has no real auto attack steroids, and Miss Fortune's Q already has the same range as Caitlyn's auto attacks. While I very confidently believe Miss Fortune demolishes even Caitlyn early game, I will say Caitlyn's late game is MUCH better than Miss Fortune's late game. Caitlyn's sieging powers are invaluable and her ability to stay safe in explosive late game teamfights are great. Miss Fortune can blow up people maybe even faster than Caitlyn late game, but Caitlyn's late game is simply better.

I have mained both. Real talk, MF does not cou ter Caitlyn. If anything its an even lane. MF has to poke with Q, Caitlyn just autos. She has the range advantage, and the safty advantage. MF does not counter kalista at all. I have played that match up many times. Its not a fun lane. If the Kalista does not have Downs, she will come out ahead on trades, because her infinite mobility and the advantage she gets from her support and her synergizing. At best, both these match ups are skill. Trust me, I main Caitlyn and MF. I know what I am talking about.

Aside from this, I just want to know Riots plans for MF. I want to know what they are buffing on her ult. I don't want it to be too strong and result in nerfs to her.

Actually Bullet time does a ton of damage in reality if you get all the waves across 3 or more people. AoE damage like MF ult is really strong in teamfights aswell so it can actually be used for combos like Malphite > Yasuo > Ziggs + MF ulties.

I don't thing the correct source of action is to make it so it just does a ton of damage and can 70-0 somebody.

Krys Star2 votes

It does a lot of damage early game, particularly during laning. Then it starts making its decline mid-game, but it's still not terrible. Late game, it's a joke. It tickles tanks, and does damage equivalent to two Double Ups being cast on a champion, and doubling into another champion.

My idea of a change to Mf's ult would be allowing targets to take more damage if they are being hit by more bullets ( closer to mf) rather than a flat damage anywhere in the cone.

I love MF since her release and really enjoyed using her ult on champions but shes at the point where it isn't worth using in team fights late game with all the mobility shes better off just autoing and double up the enemy then be vulnerable using her ult.

I agree. Thats an interesting change, but I don't like ulting enemies too close to me. I think maybe a happy medium can be found. Interesting idea though, I like it.
