Talking a bit about Cho'Gath

I love to play this champion, but I personally think he's a bit overpowered lol, I mean, he gets extremely tanky, and his ult can deal like 1,000 TRUE damage to people if he builds a bit of damage. Am I the only one who thinks that's a bit much? I think the ratio on that should be lowered or something. To me, it just doesn't seem right that an ap tank has about the same burst potential as an assassin. The rest of him is fine to me, I have no problems with the rest of his kit, i just, once again, think his nom does a bit too much damage. Yes, i understand he's easily kited, but uh, let's just say that I've had my Cho'Gath games where i won 1v4 fights because i was so tanky, and one shot their adc with a q flash nom.

He needs 500 AP to deal 1000 true damage with his ult.

He can hardly be tanky if he's bought that much AP?

His true damage nuke requires him to be in melee range. All his other skills are relatively easy to avoid if you have a bit of mobility.

The only thing that might be a problem is his passive sustain in lane. But even that requires being able to CS, so freezing if you are ahead can limit it.

In short: Anything that can stand up to Riven throughout the game deserves to stay as is.

He's one of the only ap bruisers left. Shut up and go away.

I thought this title was "Taking a bite* out of Cho'Gath" and I was like "NOBODY takes a bite out of Cho'Gath!"

Then I read through your post and realized I was right, my interpretive eye realized what you were trying to write about our Gentle man.

Yeah but he has 0 mobility and a delayed aoe cc.

He has nice a silence and lane sustain, and occasionally make or break the game moments by landing Q in TF, that's about it really.

His ulti is melee range, and lose half the stacks on death.

I don't think he is OP.

The base damage on his ult beats smite at all levels. He does 1000 base true damage vs minions and monsters(at level 6). This may be a bit OP because it is on a ~30 sec cooldown if you kill a minion or monster with it, where smite at lvl 18 does 1000 true damage and has a 15-75 sec cooldown depending on how close you are to the second charge being up.

Lvl 6 cho'gath ult > lvl 18 smite. Think about it, then forget it because we all like where cho'gath is at and we wouldn't want Rito gutting him like they did to kassadin...

Max Rank on Nunu's consume is 1000 true dmg to Minions, and on a 9 second Cooldown... Does that make Nunu OP?
