Let's discuss how we can shift power from Marksmen Auto's to their abilities

I think phreak makes a decent point.

So i figured we could all put our ideas together and if we're lucky riot notices.

I'll start by saying i'm not an adc main. I play most roles and even assassins since pyke's release. Keeping that in mind i'll try to stick to the marksmen i'm familiar with myself. Aside from that i'd like to try and keep their kits relatively the same as they are now.

Jinx personal power Fantasy: Blow the enemy base up, AOE CRITS, shoot fast

Jinx' core ability is switcheroo, i think there's no arguing that. I also think it should stay. adding AS to pow pow and ad scaling to fishbones could be interesting. Obviously pow pow's passive has to be lowered to make up for it and the AS reduction on Fishbones could be higher.

This would make the difference bigger, you want big DPS you need to get in closer but for big aoe crits you'll be slower. This allows enemies to disengage from fishbones easier too.

Her Zap is already being changed in an interesting way imo.

I realise this still keeps most of her power in auto attacks, but i think if they scaled smoother and the difference between the stances was bigger it might feel better to play vs?

Twitch Now this one might be a bit controversial as it'll deal with stealth.

Personal fantasy: Pop up and spray em down OR pick em off one by one using resets ("assassin" twitch)

I propose a change to have twitch dip into his assassin playstyle a bit more.

Have his Stealth scale with lethality. Weaving in and out of fights and constantly repositioning makes twitch fun to me. Changes to his stealth would obviously be needed. Maybe make it shorter again? Keep in mind he has no escapes if he doesn't kill.

As for his spray and pray playstyle, maybe take some of the ad off of the ult in favour of scalings somewhere else in his kit.

Tristana

Now this one i love talking about. The thing that's most fun as tristana to do is probably the last thing i wanna see a tristana do in my games: JUMPING INTO THE FIGHT Trist would feel amazing to just jump in and go ham, timing your peel and jump resets right.

The most effective way to play trist right now is staying away from everyone, jump away when needed and peel ult when shit hits the fan.

I see 2 options increase her burst on certain conditions or make her more of a marksman bruiser type. either way her passive would need to change.

option 1 Lower her burst window on her bomb, lower the time she gets but also making her reach max damage earlier (3 stacks instead of 4 for example). Turn her ult into hybrid damage, this allows her to use it as an ad spell but wouldn't remove ap trist.

Option 2 Give her resistances based on the amount of enemies hit with her jump. This would allow her to get into the fray but not just get blown up. She'd need to itemise more like graves to really do this i think, that might be a problem as people might not want that.

Varus Now i don't play this champ much, but i just wanted to say one thing about it. Balance him around his arrow instead of the onhit. Legolas/Lethality varus was the most interesting to play to me. Focusing more on being an ad caster, artilery "mage" type.

I'm gonna leave it at that, i don't really play other crit marksmen much. i play vayne from time to time but she's got enough shit going on already.

As an afterword i'd like to ask that, in the small chance a rioter is willing to discuss this and grace us with a redpost. You don't jump on em like rabid dogs, but actually try to discuss. Aside from that go wild.

It's very important that you understand that these changes would mess the game up for a long time.

ADC's are squishy and in a long lane, so they need a support. This means that they level up much slower than other lanes. That's okay though because they primarily deal damage with auto attacks, which mainly scales on gold and items.

If you put power into their abilities and away from their autos they would be pressured out of bot lane because they would do little damage, and if their resistances were buffed so they could trade because riot pursues this direction, they'd then go top and mid.

Caitlyn spells already deal way more damage than autoattacks has the shittiest stats in the game making her unable to rightclick to win, headshot deals a decent amount of damage and happens once every 7 autoattacks
