revert shen.
In about 1 month it'll be 3 years since shen was reworked.
Riot's reasoning was that they'd take the "generic" parts out of his kit. I say they made him so fuckintg boring and generic i've barely touched him the last 3 years.
Old Q: Vorpal Blade Point and click ability that did fairly little damage unless you went ap, it's real strength was it's heal You and your team could damage the target and be healed. This in combination with ki strike made shen a duelist tank.
Old passive Ki strike Deal damage on aa based on flat dmg and 10% hp scaling. AA's reduce cd, double while feint holds.
I used to build Botrk into tank and duel for days, run after someone and throw swords, actual fucking swords, none of that pussy shit like daggers or shurikens. THIS MAN USED TO YEET FRICKING SWORDS.
Now, his Q is a generic AA amplifier and his passive is this shitty ass ghost sword.
Ki strike was one of the most satisfying animations in the game, my friend said the same when i discussed shen with him. Obviously it's subjective.
The only thing i'll say is an improvement over old shen are his models and his W. The dodge zone was a nice idea, too bad it accompanied all this other garbage.
And what problems did it solve? Did shen stop being a problem in pro play? he sure did, after you gutted the shit outta him once more ofcourse.
Are your other reworks perfect? no they're not, but they atleast still deliver on the fantasy i liked. Sometimes i miss being this midget busting peoples skulls as poppy, but then i build triforce and realize it's still an option at least. She can still go bruiser. Warwick had all his abilities changed and still delivers on his old fantasy better than his old form even did.
as shen, nothing i do brings back old shen. I tried going botrk just for the sake of having sustain and some form of ranged ability, but it's just not the same.
Anyway that's all for my rant this time, see ya'll next time.
