I had a question about the new Phase Shift rune from the tranquil ocean tree. Does a basic auto-attack count as a unique attack or ability?
For example, if 
goes in with Phase Dive, lands the first part of Timewinder and then auto-attacks does he proc Phase Shift?
Or another example that doesn't involve on-hit abilities, though on a champion that probably won't use it: Could 
proc it off of only Slice, auto attack and Cull the Meek?
I don't know why you got downvoted, Upvoted back to +1. As for your question I was wondering the same thing but I do believe an auto attack will be able to count as one of the three hits to proc it. On hits for the sake of balance would probably just utilize the AA part of their attack for stacking purposes.. They could do it in a way such as if an auto attack has landed then it counts as an ability, but I feel as though that would over complicate things way too much and you would have a lot of fringe cases. The new runes should be on the PBE relatively soon, so maybe someone can answer you better after that? ^^
