Have a Nexus? It ISN'T Over.
How often do you see people in champion select, or barely two minutes into a game, decide to throw in the towel and wait to surrender. If you do this, don’t come to the boards to complain about 'ELO Hell,' or anything else. You surrendered in your mind before the loading screen... you lost the game, not your team who was 'trolling,' or made 'bad picks.'
You can always win. End of story. I've played, easily, over 11,000 games across three accounts, and yeah... I lose games. Fairly often. Especially if I am in a bad mood, or not up to speed mentally for what ever reason. Like now, I have a pinched nerve in my C2-C4 plexus in my neck. Very distracting when your left arm and face feel numb. However - I am also positive in my wins after so many games. Why? I always assume I will win. Always. I'm cocky like that.
This game is mental. Speed, reflexes, and tactics all change based on how you perceive your chances against the other team. Do you risk the engage, or wait for them to poke you down slowly. Do you get penned against your tower, or do you risk that death and take out that "noob Brand?" You're faster, and more accurate. Right? Sure you are.
If you have spent every moment from Champ select thinking you are going to lose, you shift from what ever your playstyle is to either overly reckless, or overly defensive and irritated. You can tell this, because the same people who complain in champ select are the same who rage when someone on their team refuses to get penned in.
Have fun, guys and girls, and enjoy the game. Play for the sheer fun of it, get a bit cocky... the other team might be garbage players with good composition.
