Normals matchup and rankings????

I am gold IV, a few days ago I complained I was being paired with bronze still in normals when I wanted to play with higher elo, well guess what , today I was the only gold on my team, the second highest was silver V, and the rest were bronze III or lower

The enemy team had Plat IV, Gold V, Silver II, one bronze V , and 1 bronze IV.

I got support so I supported and we dominated lane, their vayne and alistar were both 0/6 or something like that and I was around 9/1 and our vayne was like 12/2, but their plat yasuo and gold graves got pretty fed, so did their warwick.

Anyway, I dont understand how stupid riot is with the match making system and this is why I fear playing ranked. I dont want to end up with an uneven team distribution. I am gold, and yes I could beat their plat and gold, Infact I solo killed both of them 1ce or 2ce, but plats and golds have the common sense to take the advantage in a team fight and run with it, and they probably will get the advantage against a team of pure bronzes. How is this match makiing system anywhere near fair>?.

Dont say this is just normals, because normals is still a decent place to practice champions.
