The support role definitely needs its own summoner spells!
More utility summoner spells would be perfect to valorise the role :)

and we used to have {{summoner:2}} before it was sexually violated by 2903487932754983274598732498 nerfs.
CV incidentally, was one of my favorite summoner spells, sigh.
I rarely take exhaust anymore. Ignite is often just better.
I find that hard to believe, but maybe. Exhaust seems to have a lot more team fight utility (slap it on their damage) and is better for ganks/chasing because you'll get more damage from the extra hits off 3 people than you will off ignite. I've seen exhaust ruin some all-ins from assassins/screw up champions like Yi. I prefer that mitigation to a modest damage DoT, especially for supports like Alistar/Leona types who by default position to place it on almost anybody.
Its true, Exhaust will not only slow them for 2.5 seconds, it will lower their armor and MR by 10 each. Not to mention the massive cut on their damage and blow to their attack speed... vs 70-410 true damage? Exhaust is in my opinion a far superior support spell, and people using ignite have just convinced themselves otherwise.
In lane, I've saved my adc about as often with Ignite as I do Exhaust, and secured many more kills for either of us. Sure, exhaust is better on some champs in/against certain teamcomps, but I still beleive ignite to be better a LOT more often. You also neglect the Grevious Wounds, which has HUGE significance against more champions than Exhaust is good for.
exahust can be used on a zed that ulted your adc. and suddently he can't kill your adc. or any assassin. or simply win an extended fight in the bot lane or help with ganks. the only thing ignite does is reduce healing and make sure you get the kill. no utility at all. imo an exahust is a requirement to have at least 1 in a team.
Like what? I like the idea of having more summoner spells (since they've steadily been shrinking {{summoner:2}}
, Rally, Revive, Fortify) but you'd have to make them as useful as Exhaust or Heal.
Damage reduction is too powerful to be replaced as anything else.
