Nexus Siege needs /remake or the ability to surrender on both sides during round 2

Like every game mode, DCs and AFKs pretty much ruin the game. In Nexus Siege's case, it basically decides the game right then and there. I've got well over 50+ Nexus Siege games and I don't think I've once seen a team win while lacking a member.

Simple enough fix, add in a /remake feature or simply allow both sides to surrender actually during round 2. (From my understanding, only defense can surrender during the second round after 3 minutes in.) It just would make the game mode better, so people wouldn't have to waste time or be stuck in a lobby with toxic players for longer than necessary.

Uhhhh... no. That's the entire point of the mode, to survive and fight against odds and persevere. Surrender isn't an option for a reason.

That's basically the point of any game mode. You'd need a more concrete argument then that for why surrendering should be disallowed from the match. In what way exactly does being able to surrender due to someone DC'ing or going inactive hurt the mode?

No, it really isn't. There're a lot of different factors that go into the other modes. That's one of the main factors in Nexus Siege. /Remake would be fine, but if they add surrender it literally destroys the game mode. It'll be like season 6 where no game would even last half the previous length. You lose the first round and then just surrender on the second every game, that's what 80% of teams would do. Sucks for the winning team and ruins the entire charm of testing your gameplay when you get full teams that just won't even try the second round.

How?

You lose the first round and then just surrender on the second every game, that's what 80% of teams would do.

How does one "lose" the first round of siege mode? Do you mean the offensive team getting the Nexus in an incredibly low amount of time? If so then why is it problematic for the offense team to surrender on round 2?

Because that's the entire point of the mode. If the enemy team got it in 8 minutes, you only have to play for 8 minutes, but noone would fucking do that if surrender was an option, they'd just surrender every game, making the team that actually played their best and won unable to enjoy their second round.

How is it that hard to understand?

You can't add surrender to Nexus Siege and have a healthy game-mode.

I agree with the OP.

If one team gets savaged in the first round, then they are just waiting to lose in the second. The fact that many games would not have a second round seems meaningless. The alternative is a slew of second rounds which just consist of people afking or getting camped.

And the more you try to follow the code the worse it gets for you. If you lose the first round because of a DC. You know there is zero chance of winning the second. Someone else will probably afk or dc, and you just get camped for 15 minutes.
