Riot, please don't remove item sets.

I know a lot of people don't use them, and those people may be more casual players who don't care to build stuff fast, but...

A lot of people really like this. It is really convenient and it helps people like me to stay on track with what to build. An example is that, on Taliyah, I like to go ionian boots since I build GLP instead of morellos, but I often forget because the default recommends sorc boots. This really messes me up because I have little to no CDR on a champ that demands CDR.

Please riot, keep item sets in the game.

It's not being removed. It's just not being added.

For the last time...

The client is still in FUCKING BETA AND ISNT COMPLETE YET!

Stop assuming a feature isn't going to exist because it wasn't immediately built into an incomplete client.

Also, not to mention, Gnar doesn't even have completed boots in his Recommended.

Yeah, I especially need it now that they've changed the suggested items on my girl Leona to a bunch of items I never use or want on her. If they're going to mess with the recommended items, they need to keep item sets for us lowbies who always build the same six to eight items.

My GF who only supports makes an item set and ruin page for every one of her champs based on online builds. She is worried about playing now, she never bothered to remember items, doesn't know how to counter build. Not saying we should cater to her type per se, but she probably won't play as much without her safety blanket.

item sets arnt gone until the ones you made previously are removed. i still have my item sets in game, riot just hasn't implemented the item sets to the new beta yet

i just wish i could toggle the beta on and off so i can mess with custom bots and change/ add new item sets until they make them official

I will sorely miss this feature if it doesn't make it with the new client. I wanted to click and upgrade to the beta, but it's definitely not worth losing item sets. In the past week alone I probably did a pass and tinkered with most of my item sets, one of which has gotten me fed as hell on Varus in several games in a row. I'm also looking forward to finally having a satisfying item set on Nocturne when the diver update comes out sometime in the next year or two, but that might just be a pipedream.

I use item sets all the time. They are a great help for new players who do not yet have a good knowledge of what items are available and which ones are good to take on which champions. You can just look up online which items go well with what champions and put it in an item set for easier memorisation and saving time in the fountain. For that alone it is a great feature. But the greatest thing about it is the fact that you can look up items directly within the client. Removing this feature will force players to look for 3rd party services, which will make the game less accessible and make it more difficult for new players to learn about different items.

Besides, the reason of "only a tiny proportion of the playerbase uses item sets" is just stupid. Only a tiny proportion of the playerbase plays Urgot, but is Riot removing Urgot? Only a very, very tiny proportion of the playerbase ever plays in the highest few ranked tiers, but is Riot removing those?

I love items sets.

BallroomDuck11/28/2016, 7:04:59 AM2 votes

AGREED.

I was wondering why I cannot modify my item sets until I realized this function is removed :(

Hopefully they will give it back to us

It's also really convenient for Champions that can be played in different lanes and with multiple builds (i.e. AD and AP).

Its funny, I made very poor use of them when they were available..largely due to the update bug that would wipe them all out every single time the game patched, BUT NOW the second they are gone, season 7 changes happen and i have 5 completely different builds for shaco and almost none of the items are on the recommended list and i am sorely missing the option to create custom item sets.

I like item sets because it gives you a general base to go off of. It saves time from having to search items and those couple seconds can mean the difference from you saving a tower or contesting objectives. It's far more useful to me than having replays in the game.

They aren't removing it, it's just on a lower priority for them to add it into the newer client because they collected data and not an overwhelmingly sufficient amount of people used it to warrant them prioritizing it

Use championify! its free and super simple to use and Riot supports them. all you have to do is download the program and it'll integrate with league. You can have a variety of choices like builds for aram and the builds that the top players in LCS use. it also tells you what you should max first which is especially great when you're learning a new champion.

It's not being added currently. Which means once the beta is over, then Riot will look to add more features to the client. Right now, Item sets aren't a top priority.
