Thunderlords rework idea to more fit it's own "niche"

This is partially inspired by how Thunderlords is currently the "go to" mastery for just about everyone, poke, burst, AoE or single target, when it was originally intended as this sort of AoE wombo combo mastery where the intended people who wanted to take it were people who would be dropping a lot of AoE damage off and hurting an entire team.

This made me think about how literally the best people to currently use the mastery, are the people who have the least activity in using it, and are the least focused on AoE usually. Some people have the procs so automatic and easy that it isn't even a challenge to proc it, sometimes literally a single button press even.

So what if we changed Thunderlords to be about half it's current damage (maybe 1/3rd even), but a MASSIVE AoE, like an entire lane's width, pretty much guaranteed to hit an entire team in a teamfight. Change it to take 4 or 5 stacks to proc, and every ability cast can only proc it once per champion (DoT mechanics get no more free ride on proccing it, looking at you MF E and R, Malzahar anything, Anivia R, or Fizz autos....), but change the CD of Thunderlords from being a global 20 seconds, to a 30 second per champion basis, and finally, make Thunderlords AoE count as a stack to proc Thunderlords on another champion. This means an AoE wombo hit can start a chain reaction, bouncing Thunderlord procs across an entire team. Finally, change Thunderlord's animation to have a faint blue circular aura show its radius it hit. You know, so that we actually know that we hit more than one person...

Lets use Corki as an example in a teamfight of a 4 hit proc case. Corki Packages, hitting 4 people for the split, Qs, hitting 2, and Rockets, hitting 2 enemies. He hits one of them again, and procs Thunderlords on that person. The AoE proc hits it on the other guy at 3 stacks, procing it on him. Both procs combined hit the other two, proccing TL on both of them. The final guy, who Corki has not hit once yet by anything but Thunderlord procs, procs TL as well. Total Thunderlord damage, across all 5 procs, is 2.5x the current TL's damage (could infact stand for a nerfing of it's numbers after this change even more). In this case, Thunderlords has served as the AoE wombo combo setup, rather than a "Oh, I fought you for like half a second, boom to you. This also pushes Thunderlords power more into later in the game, where half damage, but very large AoE, TL procs don't really help much unless you go out of your way to proc it on both enemy champs (Which takes longer, due to being a 4 hit trade now, and where it only matches current values of damage on one target after you proc it on both people in the lane on bot or both the laner and jungler in another lane), and infact will slightly push the lane.

But the difference in proc time is rather massive, and on anyone but the biggest AoE spammers, have a hard time getting the proc snowball off due to having to hit so many people so many times in a rather short frame time. So many champs have either synergy with 3 hit and runs, or just methods of double stacking a proc in a single AA/spell, that losing this cuts a lot of it's burst applications down as well to requiring an entire kit rotation, or at least 2-3 abilities plus AAs on a few different people.

Tbfh I have never seen it doing any aoe damage at all. Maybe if I checked in a custom with a friend and paid extreme attention to it, I'd see it, but I cannot recall one time it's actually damaged someone other than the guy it procced on.

You saw it as that? I saw it as some Bard love Bard item 3070

i like the idea but this would only benefit entire teams stacking thunderlords again while it would be really super weak and useless in lane.

you know what, i would rather like it to have no cooldown but to require 4 stacks + an auto attack. say, you can only stack it up with spells but you can only trigger it with an auto attack afterwards, so if you brawl with someone and you have good ways of applying it, you can use it multiple times and it would be really strong but not every champion could freely abuse it anymore.
