Kalista's (annoying) interaction with Relic Shield

Kalista's passive on Sentinal is very... painful for her supports who want to use a Relic Shield. It also seems an odd balance factor, that she has the only passive of the allied proc nature that is a kill secured for her, and not just attributed to the ally. Usually, it is either only self possible procing (Lux, Gnar, Diana) or allied proc (Leona), and regardless it only goes to the person who procced it.

If nothing else, check for Relic Shield charges on the champion proccing her W before giving her the kill credit on minions, as this is very hard to not last hit it with her passive on it. We know she will get some nerfs, would be a nice compensation "buff" to go with the skill at least to her supports.

a passive that obsoletes all melee champs a passive item that can slave a member of her team to her and they cant say no an ult that can take said slave and remove them from the battlefield

it doesnt matter whose team this champ is on, cancer lady can troll you both ways

Actually, the ally has to accept the soulbinding by clicking on the spear.

So they can say no.

I know it's supposed to be like that, but it isn't really in-game:

Trust me, you don't really get a choice in the matter, at least not from what I've seen where a Kalista's bounded to me (I was playing as a support anyway those games, so it didn't bother me, but still). Spear just kind of appears on top of you, you start the binding animation, never need to click on the spear to be bound.

Glad to see I'm not the only one, a really annoying interaction. It'd be better if it was a toggle ability, like Ashe's Frost Shot, instead of just a constant passive, but considering it's on the same keybind as an already existing ability, it would be a difficult fix in that sense. Just having the Relic shield have a dominate interaction over Kalista's W Passive would be the best approach, so the percent damage won't proc on a minion unless the Relic Shield doesn't have a charge.

Another interesting problem, can you redo The Black Spear if you bind with the wrong ally?

I agree with annoyance of Relic shield. It would be better if RIOT made her passive (Black spear Passive) only available on Champions. So that you can get your relic shield charge wasted on good things and you can get bonus damage on champions. and I don't think you can redo it.(that black spear thingy)

Additionally, you still get the execute proc, right? I think that's what I was getting. I'd still get the execution proc, but no credit.

Plus side, I can last hit with Spelltheif's to secure gold for her, when that would usually disable the passive. Downside, that's stupidly OP, really nooby, and even if it wasn't the champs that build Spelltheif's don't tend to mix well with Kalista Throws her Support A Lot. Unless it's Janna.

I was noticing that earlier... If nothing else, though, it encourages interaction between Kalista and her support (she doesn't hit one or two of the minions so that they can pull off the procs, everyone benefits)

I am a support main, and i usually play with an adc main friend of mine in a skype call, who has recently picked up kalista. Personally I don't mind this issue much, I just tell him which minions I want and he doesn't attack them, plus it does help him farm. Moving on from that, I would definitely like it if the game we're to check for a Relic Shield charge before giving her the CS, occasionally I do need the Relic Shield charges as sustain, and it does lower my overall gold income(which is low enough as it is).
