Yknow, it's kinda weird...

Anyways, when it comes to blue essence, I've come to the conclusion that I make more blue essence with the system than I do IP. I feel this way because when I open up a level up capsule and get about halfway to one of the 3150 champions I have left to get, it's rewarding. It's empowering. That's also 1/4th the way I get to a 6300 champion. Now, this average is pretty rough and you might chalk it up to good luck, but nonetheless, I've had a good experience with the system. The problem is that it doesn't feel rewarding in any way or sort. It's odd how despite knowing that I'm getting more blue essence than I ever would with the IP system, it still feels like shit to essentially get nothing for every game, only to get a burst of adrenaline when I finally do level up. I don't feel any anticipation when building up to my next level, I just feel a general sense of "Oh boy, only __ matches to go until I can get some random champion shards). The act of opening the champion capsules feels rewarding. Very rewarding. But the process of getting up to getting the champion shard feels tedious and infuriating. Now I could go on some rant about how this is society shaping us into wanting everything now or some stuff like that, but I believe that the IP system felt overall more rewarding to use, even if it's a net loss in currency. Don't really have a course of action, just wanted to get my thoughts on the matter out there now that I finally have thoughts to get out. What about yours?
