To Kog'Maw Players, what aspect of Koggy do you enjoy the most?

As it stands, Koggy has four main identities all vying for dominance in his kit. He's an immobile tank-buster, a long range machine gun, a super-long range artillery platform, and a suicide bomber (lulz).

That last one doesn't make any sense.

It never has.

If Koggy's Innate were to be remade, which of the three remaining identities would you want to see the new Innate enhance?

Maybe the third one, but i would not remove anything from his kit. The reason why i love him is because he (unlike Vayne ) is the example of how a hypercarry can be balanced. He has ridiciolous dps, long range, nice poke but very very weak early on and vulnerable against assasination.

No as in Koggy doesn't have a weaker early game?

No Koggy isn't vulnerable to assassins?

No as in Vayne is fine?

Vayne is fine. She has to get very close to deal dmg where as kog doesn't ever have to he can be a screen and a half away in jungle behind not 1 but 2 walls dropping puke bombs on you. As you try to close in he just falls back and keeps away while his team kills you.

I like ulting bushes to see if they have a deathbush up. Probably the only reason I'd pick kog over jinx in all honesty .-.

Basically, the problem with Koggy's Innate is that it really doesn't make sense. Back when his Q was a targeted skill, it did (sort of). At that point Koggy had a nasty bite up close as a fallback pattern (Q and Innate). But with the Q remade as a long range missile skill (with %resist shred no less) that aspect of his identity was more or less removed. The job was only done half way, though.

's why I think he should get a new Innate. The one he has right now isn't bad, strictly speaking. An AoE Ignite worth of damage every time you get killed is nothing to scoff at. But it just doesn't fit. It doesn't cover any of his weaknesses (like Jinx'). It doesn't enhance any of his strengths (like Lucian's). It doesn't reward him for using his skills well (like Ezreal's).

It's just sort of there.

I feel like keeping the true damage in some capacity is a good idea. True Damage is sort of a thing with Void monsters. Attacks with unnatural geometry bypassing material defenses and all. But which aspect of Koggy's kit to focus on? How to apply it well?

And for what it's worth, I'm fond of the artillery platform side of Koggy. It's something that no other champion really boasts aside from Xer, though he does it in a totally different fashion.

Well why not.

I'll toss out a few Innate remake ideas.

For the Tank-Buster some form of True Damage would probably be the best way to go about thing. Corki already gets true damage based on his AD. Vayne gets it from the 3-and-proc system. So does Vel. So how could we give Koggy a True Damage Innate that makes him different from those three champions? Maybe a missing HP based ability?

For the machine gun style, it could be pretty cool of Koggy gained bonus magic damage OnHit equal to some percentage of his missing mana. That would make for some interesting interactions with his Ult. How low do you want to let your mana drop for that extra damage?

And on the Artillery side of things, giving Koggy a MASSIVE attack range boost for a single attack against targets he nailed with one of his skills would be very Thematic. It would make him the undisputed champion of long range Marksmen while still giving his targets ample room for outplaying his widely telegraphed skillshots.

I like the fact that his autos are hard for a lot of players to see in a teamfight. It means you can get 3 or 4 off with no one noticing that you are dealiing dmg. Also, if their front line comes up you can slow them and do a ton of dmg before they leave range. ALso, kog builds phage and botrk. so he has some mobility and peel.

Regardless of item choices, Koggy is still considered immobile in terms of what his kit offers him.

Unless you're going to count the speed boost he gets after he dies.

But that would be mean.

Vayne beats him out on the Tank Buster side of things. Beats him out on the squish-popper side of things if her Ult is up, too.

Hmmm... kind of a weird idea for the Machine Gun side of things.

Innate: Impossible Geometry Kog'maw's basic attacks mark enemy champions for 4 seconds. His next skill against marked foes become targeted.

Wouldn't increase his damage (at all). But it would increase the reliability of his damage at close range.

I would like to see a champion that coult mark two targets, attack on and dmg is applied to marked target.
