Ranked matchmaking is unbalanced

My last game was literally a gold 5 adc on my team, vs. their plat 5 adc.

How in the fuck is that balanced? It's like we were setup to lose.

In previous seasons an entire 5 division difference would NEVER happen.

Who the fuck designed this matchmaking because it's trash.

I never feel like I lose because of being outplayed. I typically feel that I lose because several of my teammates are matched against players 4+ divisions higher than them.

Great fucking balance.

Games are matched based on MMR, not division. A good gold 5 can easily have a better MMR than a bad Plat 5. I'm gold 5 but my MMR is around gold 1-2. I get matched with bad Plats pretty much every single ranked game I play

I got teamed with someone who is ranked higher than me but yet has a 9% winrate. Yep, 2-20 but he's better than me.

Actually the ranking system (the various tier badges, etc) was made simply to make baddies feel better about themselves because they see X rank and Y LP in that rank. It serves no real purpose, theres even a guy who was bronze 5 with high diamond MMR and would play with Diamond 1s/2s who would freak out about how a bronze 5 is in their game. In reality the matchmaker couldnt give less of a fig about what rank you are since it only looks at your hidden MMR.

I was silver 1 playing support and I got an adc who is fresh lv30 unranked and went 1/8 in placement, not sure why the system think this person has silver 1 skill.

btw I quitted support after that game.
