Dear ADC,

When youre facing Soraka in lane, buy this item: item 3123. Let me try to explain with a little bit of math. Lets say everyone down in bot lane is lvl 6 and Soraka has 3 points in her Astral Infusion. applying the grievous wound onto the enemy ADC would cause Soraka to give only a little bit more health than if she had 1 point in her q (60% of 140 [rank 3 w] is 84 [rank 1 w has 80 health base]).

Same with Wish, If she got the bonus from her ADC being below a health threshhold, she would actually heal for less than the base 150 at rank 1. (60% of 225 is 135)

Soraka without her obnoxious healing doesnt have much else to offer her team compared to other enchanters. As the game carries on people start to get blown up instantly and most mages build item 3165 which is why you start to see her winrate go down in a literal diagonal line come late game.

I agree it's good to get, but you still need to buy a BF first. If you have executioners, and the enemy ADC has a BF, it doesn't matter if you reduced soraka's healing, you are going to lose it hard due to raw damage.

This is true assuming the enemy adv doesn't counter you and also buy executioners. In a war of sustain an adc under bleed with raka heals would beat an adc under bleed with a different champion heal. That said it is better to not fight at all and farm first item and get executioner as second item.

Mages need a cheaper version of Grievous Wounds... also one that applies before the 50% hp threshold would be nice!
