5/5 PBE Update

Riot partially reverted the voidlings and they work off a charge system based on the number of spells you cast again. The only difference is that you summon voidlings once you've stored enough stacks kinda like Kassadin E. Hopefully this is enough to push him out of support.

i still don't understand why don't they remove his passive. move the voidlings on W to his passive that works over charges. and then give him a new ability. like idk

The lack of HP and resistances will make them useless in team fights where there is a lot of ambient damaged flying around. The numbers are also so low they will be killed at all points during lane phase. During PBE before they had ward HP, this was a huge problem.

Their damage is still pitiful, and I miss the old voidling. It will take 4 of those voidlings to make up for 1 of the old ones. 3 of these guys gets Malz a 120% AD ratio. (In total) and one of the old ones was 100% already. Then buffed at 7 seconds to 150%

They do get an akward scaling attack speed per level, but I don't really see that making a huge difference. They are gonna die, rather than an opponent choosing between killing Malz's damage or damaging him, most champs may kill the voidlings by proximity alone. Minions are going to have more HP than them, at all points of the game.

-Edit thoughts I don't think a total of 20-60%AP ratio on a semi reliable basis will ever replace losing his old W and flat damage on his ult.

I used to be bummed out about losing AD Malz to this mess. But Malz going bot Lane because he can't go mid? This is truly sad.

Hmmmmm....

Assuming that Malzahar can summon up to three at once (One + 2 W Charges)

This just means its more auto attacks bot lane has to waste in order to not get eaten by Voidlings

and...

It makes laning against Malzahar mid even more brainless with the 300% vs minions.

Other than farming and maybe a tower push, they won't be useful mid due to the fact that their movement speed has been reduced by quite a bit and they don't get bonus movement speed from priority targets in this version.

Meanwhile in bot lane, they provide quite a meat shield for the ADC unless the enemy laners want to be chunked by a bunch of Voidlings in a skirmish and try to focus the ADC. Malzahar can just use mana regen items and masteries to keep his mana up for casting spells for Voidling stacks most likely.

I can't really say if its going to be more "fun" or not though...
