Why hasn't someone made Ardent Censor and activatable item yet?
Seems the easiest way to stop it from being broken
Seems the easiest way to stop it from being broken
I've said this once, and i'll say it again...
Enchanters already have a abundance of Active Items at their disposal...
-
(A choice of one, depending on playstyle) - Hell you can even build
sometimes since it's sorta affordable now, and has all the stats Enchanters want and that juicy safety net active...
I won't go into how building said items can easily overcap CDR here...
Besides, making
a Active Item wouldn't really weed out the core issue with it, which is that the passive is basically a "invisible stat stick slapped onto every heal/shield that benefits Marksmen the best", unless they drastically changed what the item does, making the active justifiably powerful based off its cooldown.
cause then it would actually take some sort of skill, something Riot is trying the hardest to move away from when it comes to enchanters.
and how exactly would that work? it would just be used the instant it comes off cooldown, unless it has a very long cooldown in which case the item will become garbage
Thats the idea, ardent deserves to be garbage given how badly its warping the game, getting games without ardent abusers on your team is a guaranteed loss 95% the time now and i am sick of it, the item needs the feral flare treatment and why shouldnt it get that treatment? gets a special protection because its an adc enhancing item?
If Riot were to make Ardent an active item, I'd also suggest nerfing the numbers on the item, but give it a cooldown of along 90-120 seconds and the duration of the buff and active be reduced to along 5-6 seconds. This is so that enchanters have a window of power, but it's not a simple stat-stick that they can just put on their ADC that's on-the-go.
So basically...
Stats it gives down, buff uptime gutted(going from capable of 100% to 90-120 seconds in between buffs would be gutted), effect stats down...
At this point why not just remove the item. We all know what happens to something when you remove a large chunk of power from literally everything that people buy the item for(case study:
). Not to mention, item actives are supposed to be more powerful than item passives, at the cost of being unable to utilize it as often. Making it an active and removing said actives power is a stupid way to go.
What would you do? 'Cause simple number cutting's not gonna fix an item like Ardent if you ask me.
