Is Ornn Top Dead Now?

Anyone have any tips on how to play Ornn top lane now? I can't figure it out.

I don't understand how Ornn is supposed to survive laning phase. Losing his shield was actually a massive nerf. There is no way to fend off ranged champs or all-inners anymore. There is no window to safely farm cs. You can't trade because you lose every trade. I didn't even realize how much his shield mattered until now. It actually feels like I'm playing a squishy mage top.

The damage buffs are cool I guess, but he has no survivability in lane and can't trade.

The only play style I can see being remotely successful is literally just standing under tower and hope you outscale with passive.

to be fair had they kept his lane bully style the man would 100% be pick or ban, considering he was already a lane bully but now has insane scalin with tons of cc. he'd essentially be sejuani v2

He's probably gonna remain from being able to top till stuff like Conqueror and tank durability are addressed. Toplane is simply fighters with a few juggernauts sprinkled here and there atm.
