Could Katarina get some type of survivability

I know some people won't like it but hear my our. There are a bunch of melee champions that have sustain/shielding

Gragas: Passive Blitz: Passive Hecarim: W Fizz: E Galio: Shield Gangplank: W Illaoi: Sustain passive WW: Q healing and damage reduction Trundle: passive

All these champions and more are in the middle of team fights but have something to keep them there, kinda like conquerer or sterak's gauge something that lets you go in without getting one-shot but kat doesn't have that. She brings conquerer but doesn't really use it until mid-late game which is stupid because she's an early game champion.

Watching the champion spotlight even Phreak says she isn't as bursty as other assassins, and she also requires her team as well. This isn't normally how an assassin works and this also isn't good because for a champion that has no defense or utility, no sustain or invincibility, slows or ANYTHING, she isn't even the burstiest assassin? What's the point? I simply don't understand it. I've played kat for a long time and I do get the hang of her, but it shouldn't be like this. She goes in but doesn't have anything helping her. I'm sure you'll say "well she's very mobile" but so is talon, nidalee, fizz. What makes her special? Even fizz can go untargetable and everyone knows that's what makes his champ annoying but he CAN do that at any time he wants. I'm not asking for anything huge, but if a champion has an ultimate that's supposed to be high-risk high reward, I should feel rewarded. So why does kat feel like a lackluster assassin? She doesn't fill a purpose like other champs either.

Kassadin is an anti-mage assassin, Nidalee is a high-pressure assassin, Kha'zix can adapt to situations, unlike most champions. Talon has the ability to push out the wave and roam which makes him semi-unique. Shaco can mess with your head and be anywhere with deceive. Katarina is supposed to be a team fighting champion but gets blown up in team fights...? Eve is kinda like shaco where you need pink wards to really figure out where she is and etc. It just feels awful because there isn't really much special about kat... She relies on her TEAM TO BE AN ASSASSIN. That doesn't even sound right in any way. Wukong is a better assassin than kat. Dude builds youmuus and duskblade and youmuus in from 30 miles and you get one shot before you can even react. What's so special about kat?

Sometime to keep kat in the fight would be nice, or make it to where she has a unique fighting style.

When Trundle has resetting insta blinks, an AoE death sentence ulti, and massive amounts of CDR on kill & assist.. He can go ahead and give up his sustain and tankiness.

Most assassins are about getting into the fight, kill someone off, then get out. Kata is different for the reason you mentioned - she's a team fighter. But not like ww or hecarim, rather more like master yi or Tristana (even though she's not an assassin).

They rely on their resets to finish an already ongoing team fight fast. That's Katas gimmick. She has insane mobility and damage, but lacks in cc and survivability.

OP this might seem crazy, but if you build Conq on Kat she pretty much doesn't die.

This is exactly why I build Spirit Visage on Kat. People sometimes get frustrated because I have it, but they have to deal with it if I have to be in the middle of 5 champions who are going to try to blow me up the instant I go in. It's actually a pretty decent item on her, because it synergizes with gunblade, she takes less magic damage(which generally there's more magic damage than physical), and has more health so she has more potential to heal with. I'm sad they reworked Dark Harvest because I used to go DH with Minion Dematerializer(use it on cannons for a DH proc whenever you want so you can determine when you go in), lich bane, gunblade, Spirit Visage, Sterak's, and void staff/rabadons depending on what I needed. You could one shot any ADC while still being really tanky. People raged at me so hard for that.

If they only gave her back the slight reduction in damage received after shunpoing they took away from her with her last rework it would be awesome. I miss it so much.

Yeah and all those champions u named aren't assassins. Since Katarina deals AoE damage, she is fine as she is.
