Recently I've been playing against veigar and his kit seems a bit too strong, even nasus a few patches ago felt like he was doing so much damage so they had to make him tank with his ult. Since we know veigae is going to do too much damage, could we see a future nerf?
Lady Hammerlock2 votesFor the record, the Nasus changes were net neutral and were intended to be a buff. The damage wasn't very impactful and was changed for resistances.
Veigar is kinda the overkill mage and as a niche is fine but is outclassed by basically every other mage until late game.

DrCyanide1 votesI don't think Veigar will see a nerf until AP Items change, Runes change, or he becomes mainstream again. He's got tons of potential, and can do ridiculous amounts of damage if he's allowed to reach that potential, but reaching that point and staying alive is the challenge.

It's really not hard though. He just puts his cage up every time u go anywhere near him. Veigar has one of the most uninteractive lanes in existence.
Radiant Wukong4 votesI second this. The only melee champs I can get close to Veigar with are Katarina and Kassadin. Talon used to be my go to pick, but after I screwed with the assassin update, he gets dumpstered by Veigar now.

Also katarina is better than she used to be and severely hard counters veigar to the point where if you blind pick veigar and the enemy mid is at least half decent on kat, they can pick her and dominate you into the ground.

He can still buy BV and place his wall ontop of his champ. Sure, it's easy to pick him once it's down, but if he saves it for you it's different.
If she's TL you want a set up and to avoid daggers, if she's DFT you just need to win a poke war.
People say the best way to stop kat is cc, but a million damage works too. If he lands 2 Q's or 1 e she has to back before engage, if he lands W he can get a kill if it's not setting himself up. R can whiff her out of the way too when she's flying through your teammates collateral damage.

Pater Gascoigne1 votesI played a lot of Veigar recently (both Support and Mid) and it's fun running around with 1.3k AP and instant killing anyone who is careless. He also has the best skin in the game with Final Boss Veigar. However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows with him. He is short ranged, all of his spells and his autoattack range. And thus he gets bullied hard in lane by champions like Syndra and Orianna. Veigar needs a lot of time to farm and shine and with games being incredibly snowbally and short, he isn't as strong as he could be.
sit kid1 votesWhy do people complain about Veigar? Why dont just play an assassin or a long range mage that can poke him out of lane? His skillshots are so easy to dodge, and you can basically just dance in his E to dodge the W and he is useless in lane.
