Isn't it cool how Kalista and Yasuo are the two strongest champs in the league?

HamburgerJunior··3 votes·1,548 views

And if you don't ban/play them you just lose. There's nothing that can be done to prevent it. They're both mobile as fuck. Kallista especially. She's a champ mistake that should have never happened. And the best thing about these 2 champs? They work perfectly together. Every game, is there a kallista? Whelp, if she gets a kill we lose.

Then how come they aren't played in every single game?

Then how come they aren't played in every single game?

Because not everyone is good enough to play them right, especially at gold elo and lower. Otherwise? Because they're banned/picked already.

You are in Silver. If people Gold and below aren't good enough to play them, then you shouldn't be having any issues.

Kalista 94% pick/ban rate this split in pro play. Needs to be completely gutted.

Yasou is much more binary. In the right team comps, he is god mode. In others he struggles. He needs a rework for sure.

1st no. gutting is a stupid idea, 2nd, fck the pros

There is a difference between copying a pro player and analyzing what they are doing.

a pro player making a sick play isn't just something you can do whenever you want, you have to analyze and realize why and how they did that play to function it in your own games.

This requires a certain level of game knowledge, just copying does nothing.

I agree with you. The average player won't have the mechanics to pull off some of those plays without a ton of practice. However, you can still learn from it and incorporate some of the aspects into your game. I have learned a LOT about the game from watching the games and listening to the analysts.

So you learned a lot about the game but can't manage to climb out of bronze?

if you want to improve watching LCs is a terrible way to get better at low elos, you need to watch information youtube videos that give you advice on how to climb such as fourpaws/gbay99/foxdrop and once you gain those skills you will be able to analyze pro players and learn even further.

If you cared to look, you would see that I haven't played ranked on this account in forever. I just use it to play with friends now.

I do watch a lot of the youtube videos as well. There are some really good ones out there. You should watch some of the pro games, I think you would enjoy it and get a lot out of it.

They have have fans, groupies, and make pretty good money. They wouldn't give a rat's ass what you think to be honest. Nothing personal, i'm just telling you like it is.

they wont, and shouldnt. TBH they dont deserve any of that you mentioned. they sit on their asses for a living (not knocking that, legit what i wanna get payed for). does it stop me from telling them i think they should eat dog turds? nope. just makes me wanna do it more actually. and the fact people worship them makes me sick. It feels good when i beat those people who blindly follow with no actual understaning f what they are doing but think its good because its LCS played

Lugg1 votes

The pros play the strongest champions for the situation. That's why people follow them. When Runeglaive Ezreal was played pro, lots of people used it to freelo up.

BTW, LOTS of jobs involve sitting on your ass for a living. LOL

I have no respect for people who have problems with Yasuo.

  1. He's free food for the jungler.
  2. He's free food for 99% of champions.

Literally, the only reason Yasuo can win a lane is his jungler laning 2v1 with him for the first 15-20 minutes of the game.

Lugg2 votes

I don't mean to be mean, but it's posts like this that cause people to not take you seriously.

Vistha Kai1 votes

I've been playing both as and aganist Yasuo since his release. What I learned:

  1. The moment he pushes the lane even slightly a gank will cause him to either die or burn Flash.
  2. He currently counters MAYBE 3 champions and gets completely obliterated by the next 80.
  3. In every other case he needs allied jungler's presence just to not lose horribly.

That's not a matter of me exaggerating. That's a conclusion after being involved in Yasuo's lane in over 600 games.

Think what you want. I don't really care. There is no excuse for not being able to learn how to play aganist an overnerfed champion.

Here is a game that took place yesterday. Yasou vs SKT (possibly the best team in the world). If you watch this and still think the same about Yas, there is no hope for you.

It's the second game, click about halfway thru the video to get it.

I will not watch it and I will not change my opinion on Yasuo, because sadly(for you) I don't give a damn about LCK or any kind of LCS for that matter.

Perhaps if you'd at least bother to name a minute of the video I should look for.

im the same. fck the pros, ill play and think what i want about the game

Vistha Kai1 votes

I voiced it wrongly.

What I meant was that most of what they do can't be adapted to the solo queue in NA and EU (or even solo Q in general) in any direct form... Especially by people like Lugg who are Bronze 5 and think they have decent knowledge about the game by simply watching the LCS.

Lugg1 votes

Watching the best players in the world play champions will increase your understanding of the game. You say that low ELO doesn't know what they are talking about but here you are not willing to learn something from people in the highest ELO. The hypocrisy is immense. At this moment I now realize that my game knowledge is tenfold what yours is. In reality I am the Diamond player and you are the Bronze.

Vistha Kai1 votes

Watching best players in the world will do nothing good for you, if you don't already have the knowledge about the game.

If you try to learn the exponential function without being able to add, you already failed by even thinking about it.

The same thing happens, if you try to apply "pro plays" to your average game without knowing what those pro plays are actually about.

Lugg1 votes

I understand your point of view, but I think I can give you examples that prove it wrong.

When I first started playing and learning the game, I would really struggle on Annie. I couldn't figure out how people were doing so good on her. Then I watched a pro game and saw the flash Tibbers stun combo and BAM the lightbulb goes on and I start doing well on Annie.

Another great one is the Lee Sin inSec combo. No one knew you could do that until he did it in a pro game. Then all the Lee Sin mains started practicing it and learned it.

There are TONS of examples like this. You can learn about lane swaps, champion combo strategies, etc. The skies the limit.

Watching one game of a stream with a pro explaining what he's doing is worth more than a whole season of watching LCS.

+1.

Lugg1 votes

It depends on the pro. Some of them do a great job explaining, others don't really tell you anything.

Vistha Kai1 votes

Because I haven't made that obvious enough by saying "a pro explaining what he's doing".

No in reality you're still a bronze 5 and you're bad.

Also it's impossible to fully analyze a LCS game and improve unless you have plat+ game knowledge.

When the only argument against a champion that you can give is another champion that counters them, that's usually not a good sign.

I've beaten Yasuos and Kalistas. The trick is to lock them down and kill them before the cc wears off. Also, Yasuo especially is super item dependant, so if you can kill him early and keep him from snowballing you'll be fine.

Yeah, yasuo was probably bad. In fact, i know he was. All he needs is a static shiv and to farm for the next 11 minutes. Easiest champ to CS with in the entire league. He's never out of the game. Ever.
