Is Singed ever going to get looked at for having more to his kit?

Look, I like Singed. I do. However, I just can't bring myself to play him because I feel like all he's good at is split pushing. His laning phase is miserable and he's relegated to a wave clearing position. I don't get the vibe that Singed's kit fully fits his identity as a mad scientist. I think his ult is a neat idea, and the changes they made to it a few patches ago were a step in the right direction. Maybe his Mega Adhesive could apply the 'Grounded' effect? I mean, it is adhesive. I just feel that Singed has a very binary kit. Kudos for making it so that Flinged targets get rooted when thrown into his adhesive. I felt that was a good move!

Riot once said that they want champion ultimates to be the 'high point' of playing a champion. The game changer, the defining moment that can turn a battle. Singed's ultimate is just a boring steroid though that just lets you play a game of run at people and sometimes fling them. It's the same problem I have with Jax, Aatrox, and Volibear. I like those three champions, but I find that steroid ultimates don't give me personally much satisfaction. Some of you might like them, and that's great, but for me they are boring. Aatrox's is mildly amusing because he grows in size and starts flying around, but I think a lot of Aatrox players would agree that his kit doesn't fit him thematically. I mean, Aatrox is supposed to 'inspire' his fellow warriors to fight with increased fervor.

I don't have thousands of games with Singed, or even hundreds most likely. And I'm not a Singed main. This opinion of mine is coming from the perspective of a player who likes Singed for what he is, but feels like he could be so much more.
