Too few champion releases?

It just feels a little stale.

I really miss the excitement of fresh, new champions bringing life into the game.

So far this year we've seen 3 releases (jhin, Aurelio Sol, and taliyah.) We're halfway through the year with nary a release in sight.

Jhin is a cool champion with a fresh kit that impacts the game. He is also a fairly common pick and accepted champion.

Aurelion, post nerfs and in high plat, just isn't played. I'm sure he's great in the right hands, but imho the champion is boring and stale. He brings nothing new, and isn't exactly an exciting champion. Either way, I NEVER see this guy. Maybe in higher ranks he's more contested?

Taliyah is also not played anywhere at all, something fairly uncommon for the newest champion. She was never a contested pick even right at release. After several rounds of buffs she can be powerful in the right hands, but also brings little new to the table. She has some glaring weaknesses and the inability to carry games or successfully cc on her own with sub par and avoidable damage.

The champion pool is feeling quite stagnant. I understand there are a ton already, and maybe it's just me, but I feel like one successful champion release in 6 months is a little dull. Again this is just my opinion and I'm probably wrong.

Anyone else feeling this way? Yes I know about the minor reworks and have enjoyed them and appreciate a lot of them. But I feel like some awesome hype new exciting fun to play champ release is just what this game needs.

There is a very specific reason they don't release champions as frequently as before: They want to create every champion completely unique. And I'd say they did it very well during the last releases. Compare those to other champions which are very similar to each other.

Additionally many older champions need major reworks, which are comparable to completely new champion releases

Personally I like the pace of the champ releases. Id rather they take their time and create good champs than just throw stuff together. Every champ no matter the time they take creating them will have adjustments needed once they are released...but if its a rushed champ then they will need more.

Plus id rather they take time to fix all the other problems this game has than trying to pump out champ after champ.

They can put out 2 champs a month if they wanted too....it still would not change the fact that this game is going downhill because of other reasons.

I dont want to turn your thread into a dynamic que hate thread but personally.....I wouldnt care if they released another champ the rest of this year if they would just fix the DQ system or just bring back Solo Q. But thats not even all the problems, there are others.......basically a lot of time they could be spending on other areas than just pumping out champ after champ.

They cant even properly balance the game with the current roster. Why would you want them to f---- it up even more?
