Mage rework will turn into ap tank fest.

I will mainly be addressing the catalyst of aoens in this and the balancing problems with it.

With the catalyst of Aoens ap champions with a toggle can easily become a tank and have constant returning health, not to mention the synergy with Spirit Visage. A few examples would be Swain, Aurelion, Karthus these 3 can easily build a catalyst of Aoens and a spirit visage build tanky and be set for an entire teamfight. This specific subset will be enormously over powered especially if they get the dash item and force themselves into the middle of a teamfight. This "Mage Rework" will effectively make a few mages into the tank category.

Also there are champions such as Annie, Ryze, Karma (mid), any champion that has low cd and can spam spells etc. These mages will be able to have tons of health back but no way to get back mana due to the basic deletion of mana regen. Annie less so because she can just become a burst mage but the Karma and Ryze situation is still very real where they will lose so much mana and not be able to regain any of it back forcing ryze to build tank to be viable and Karma to be support. This one might just be my personal biased because I for one have always preferred Karma mid to support .

And finally Soraka. This one is very specific because of her W costing health AND mana. If she buys catalyst of aoens it negates a lot of the health loss from using W reverting her to her pre-rework state of constant heals for no bad side. Her Q also gives back health just so she can stay healthy with her health cost of her W but if she doesnt need the health back the Q will just end up being a waste of mana and overall a bad ability. This will make Soraka very basic and have no real counterplay to her heals besides instantly bursting her down.

This sounds like a big complain thread but I really just want to see how this whole rework goes. I addressed these problems because they are pretty boring to play against in lanes. As long as we keep this game interesting a better game we will make.

I think adding a ton more mana will help ryes more mana =more spells that hit hard

It might be a case where Ryze becomes EXTREMELY op instead of extremely up. It will depend a lot upon if the Ryze builds a tanky Ryze build or if Ryze builds traditional mage-wise.

How much do you think Catalyst heals????? Soraka only get 7-10` mana back after using her Heal AFTER giving up 10% of her maximum which GUESS WHAT makes building flat health a bad choice.

If any tank mage that isn't Vlad wants to do damage they definitely aren't going to rush RoA into Visage because guess what again the HP regen buffs are super unnoticeable and they'll do next to no damage

The point is it just circulates, since her W also damages her she gets both mana AND health back, so she basically gets a heal that costs way less.

This change was done so that Mages have a source to heal from since Spell Vamp is being removed from the game and non mana champions can't abuse it. Spell vamp was balanced around Vlad and now there won't be a way for Vlad to use it.
