The obnoxiousness of Lux, (and thunderlord's)

Thunderlord's has begun pushing champs that were already cheezy and annoying over the edge into abusive territory recently.

Another one I am starting to see too often is Lux. Lux's E is about as impossible to dodge as any non-targeted skill gets. Huge AOE fast travel speed and even a massive slow field. It's always been BS, but people just ignored it because the early damage was rather low, and it used her mana relatively quickly.

Now with thunderlord's, Lux just has to hit an(nearly impossible to dodge) E and then an auto attack to proc thunderlord's along with her passive and deal 1/4 to 1/3 of her opponent's HP.

At level 1

Really Riot?

I think it's time to admit that thunderlord's was a failed experiment. In its current state, it's too good on almost everything, and even if wasn't so stupidly easy to proc on everything, certain champs get too much out of it. It's time to admit that the burst on TL is more dramatic and perceptable, and therefor more enjoyable than the other keystones. The others mostly give passive benifits, that, while they may be strong, arent as fun .

This is a design flaw. Even by your own standards. The mantra has always been that spells should 'feel' impactful. It's the reason you reworked Sona, because you thought most of her strength was invisible and boring. That is the exact problem we have with keystones at the moment.

I'm just gonna say it, and I know I will get a lot of insta-downvotes for stating the obvious. Thunderlord's needs to be removed. Replaced with something else. OR all of the other keystones need to be more interesting(not just number tweaks)

I main Lux - her E level 1 even if she goes full ap runes (which she won't) deals 90 damage + her auto of 50 damage + passive 25 damage + thnderlords of 15 damage

Total = 180 damage - your basic armor and magic resist for 30% even if you aren't running mr and armor runes (which you should be) = 126 damage total. This is the most Lux is able to possibly do at level one. Definitely not one third of your HP especially if you grabbed a dorans.

Thunderlord's Decree deals maybe 15 damage at level 1.

If you are taking that much damage at level 1, then you are probably running Scaling Health Seals and AP or CDR Glyphs. That is, you have no early defenses and most mages will deal a similar amount of damage.

Just lost a game because of lux and thunderlods honestly.. I don`t view casting a spell and the slow field as one spell and the damage as a second?? then the auto is a third and its an instant thunder lords.
