Lissandra's new passive and Mordekaiser.

Anyone else looking at video footage of the new lissandra passive and think to themselves.. "Thats a really interesting take on "Ghost" champions that Morde would probably benefit from as a modified Ult that he can never have now because its on Lissandra completely randomly"

As someone who was an avid Morde main until CT decided to do a social experiment with him, I've long awaited his return from completely gimmick status and we all know that, realistically, Morde pretty much requires a new ulti to make this possible. I just find myself wondering, wouldn't a modified version of this be interesting for our boy Morde instead of randomly slapped on Lissandra's kit for seemingly no reason other than "Hey look, Sub-Zero fatality!!"

This is an often lamented Subject amongst Morde mains. (Not this particular example of liss thralls)

But the Concept that Thematically & Mechanically the Avenues for character development and uniqeness will be non-existent by the time Morde gets his VGU. There is alot of thematic overlap with several character Concepts.

Sion/Morde the undead Warrior Swain/Morde the Tyrant Veigar/Morde the Ultimate Evil Yorick/ Morde the Leader of undead

Whats left for Morde to explore as a Character concept.

MM basically mentioned the only one i can think of. Morde the Conqueror

Not like it's 100% her lore that she turns people into thralls, but whatevs.

I agree with you though, Mordekaiser could use an update, and he's needed one for a while. He still has pizza feet! A full VGU like Nunu & Willump got, or at least one on the scale of Ezreal, would be fantastic.

I mean in her new lore (If lore even matters anymore, sadly) I don't really remember much of her in relation to creating thralls.. and just looking at in game footage of the passive, it really conveys more of a ghost that explodes thing than a living servant or a thrall.

But i'll admit, its not completely random, I suppose.|

Edit : Also I would argue that Lissandra's thing is more True Ice than thralls, where Morde's thing is totally using souls ripped from his victims to empower himself, or even re-animate them to fight for him.
