Say you're in a situation where your Wi-Fi/Cable connection is bronze tier and you are unable to have it fixed immediately, hotspot from your phone is a decent alternative. It takes about 30mbs per 30 minute game assuming you don't stream anything in the background. Every 1 GB of data, you get about 16.6 hours worth of gameplay. If you have 3GB of data extra per month, that will net you ~50 hours of gameplay.

I use samsung galaxy, so yes. It should be the same. If it's not, look into your game's setting for update rate.
Need Gold 4 Tent1 votesThe thing with the phone connection is that while it (seems) more stable than my uni's wifi, it's generally slower. It's like playing on NA server as an Australian (our home server is OCE). The only time I connect to it is when the uni wifi conks out (and generally you'd expect about 3 minutes of no internet), so I quickly hook up my mobile hotspot so I can at least play even if it is at 300 ping. I always turn back to wifi when it comes back on again.

What ping are you getting on your phone? I'm getting 40-50 ping vs 30-250 ping on my wi-fi. My Network data is really stable compared to my ISP.
